Has there ever been a more unlikable team? It's not even because they're in our way.

Fuck, we only hated the Heat because LeBron left. I've always liked Wade as a player personally. I never had an opinion of Bosh.

I don't really think Curry is a bad guy, even though I'm no fan per se. If he's annoying or unlikable; it's more how much the media started fawning over him (too much). But he himself doesn't really do much that really annoys or pisses you off.

But Durant and Green are the most unlikable pieces of shit you can imagine.

One is a coward and non-stop excuse maker. Completely arrogant too. And the other is very dirty, very arrogant, and just obnoxious.

My blood is boiling, I hate this team so fucking much. We have to beat them.

And Klay is just an idiot. The biggest thing I hate about Steph is his showboating and how cocky he is when he makes a single three. I guess he has some right to be cocky, it just annoys me.

Draymond is the true douche though. Never hated a player more than Draymond. His antics all game are just terrible. And he can be demonstrative and yell at players/refs all he wants and rarely gets a tech.

Do The Warriors have anyone coming off their bench better than Deron Williams or Kyle Korver? Do they have a defender who currently defends better than Shump? Iggy is not 100%. Is Shaun Livingston their best bench player right now? Are we really concerned about David fucking West? Patrick McCaw? Ian Clark? Are you fucking serious?

West is there best bench player I believe but playing him allows you guys to play Fry. Livingston is done put a fork in him

I agree with what Draymond said today about the 2 great teams thing..... Like even as a Cavaliers fan this is crazy to comprehend and just doesn't seem real ?? And I'm sure actually being a Cavs fan plays a part in that ?? But you do have to appreciate this and what it means for the sport/league....

It's weird to say but one of the very best things about this era and being part of this is actually having an opponent like the Warriors.... That's what made LA vs Boston so great--- wasn't just Bird vs Magic-- cause nobody ever says that-- has always been Lakers vs Celtics.... The Cavs as a franchise are married to the Warriors and that's pretty amazing...

i think cavs win a close game for game 1
warriors blow them out of the water in game 2.
Cavs punch back in game 3.
If the crowd can carry the cavs in game 4, cavs win in 6.

If warriors win game 4 and tie it 2-2, i think it goes 7 (toss up)

Uncle drew lives for big moments, i expect several from him

Absolutely, 100%. I hate the Warriors but too many people are too caught up in that narrative to see the bigger picture taking shape. For the most part the Cavs haven't been a particularly memorable or accomplished franchise. But rather than being relevant simply because we were blessed to have LeBron born here, we're now part of a very special place in league history by virtue of our symbiotic relationship with the Warriors.

They're the yin to our yang. Anybody a fan of Heat? De Niro and Pacino were two guys on opposite sides of the law who nevertheless needed one another to find fulfillment and balance in the universe. That's what the Warriors are to us and us to them.

Golden State may very well go down as the "face" of this era, but it will be through their animus with the Cavs and challenge by arguably the best player to ever lace them up that their identity will be forged.

And just like the Celtics/Lakers rivalry was defined as much by the cultures of their respective cities as their on court performances, so it is that the "iso-heavy" Cavs and "unselfish" Warriors transcend basketball by the dichotomous economies of Cleveland and the Bay Area.

Of course I want to mercilessly beat their asses but I'm going to at least appreciate a very special moment in league history that the Cavs, IMO, are fortunate enough to be part of.

Hey MFer, where were you in that Boston gamethread? Was it to much of a convincing win for you? Take your negativity to the Tribe forum, we need it

Agreed. I don't get downplaying how good they are. Just like last year beating memorable teams is what will make us fondly remembered in the books. In the coming decades this is going to be the rivalry story nba documentary makers will want to tell.

I like the position we are in, from a 'story lines' standpoint.

We are being given little chance and seem to be regarded as road kill despite the fact that we're coming into the series with a +14.3 playoffs NRTG and maybe the greatest playoff offense in NBA history (so far).

I just hope that the Warriors bite on the hook and believe their own hype just a bit more. That could really help us for Game 1.

The more the focus on the Warriors and their greatness, the better for us.

I agree - like Griff and LeBron said we play our best when nobody gives us a chance.

However, I do think that if we look at it from a rational perspective the Warriors are the big favorites and rightfully so. As good as our offense has been they are capable of the same level + they can defend better than we can at their best. We had to capitalize on every little thing that went right for us last year to pull it off and it will be the same this year.

Our bench this year is better than theirs in my opinion (Deron Korver Shump over Livingston and David Ringchaser) so they have to play like it. Kyrie has to be Kyrie, LeBron has to be aggressive from game 1 (he was pretty poor in the first two games last year - we can't afford to have any 'feel out' games vs this team), and Kevin will have to show that he can be effective vs a team like the Warriors (whether last year's performance was due to the concussion we'll find out).

We have to steal one of the first two games there because if we come back down 2-0 again I think they end it in 5.

Ironically, Draymond Green is the only player on the Warriors I actually like.

It used to be the 2008 celtics for me. They set the bar high, but GSW easily has surpassed them.
