If any of you were watching the Indians game today on the second pitch of the game CC took a comebacker off his left arm. It looked like it hit next to his wrist on the opposite side of his hand where there is no real "meat" to cushion the blow. It looked real nasty and you could clearly hear him yell the F word right after it happened. He was taking for X-rays immediately. Still awaiting reports on how bad it is but some websites have listed it as a broken bone already and said he will be out at least 2 months. This absolutely is devastating for the Tribe if true.

DAMMIT!!!! Now he'll get all lazy and fat.

We might get to see Miller then... :yay:

Id love to see Miller pitch some but not at the cost of CC. Also in order for Miller to be called up that means either CC will have to be put on the 60 day dl or that someone will have to be sent down. Then when CC comes back someone would have to be sent down or put on the 60 day dl again to make it work. If the injury is serious we will likely see a 4 man rotation for the first month or so and then go from there. I dont see Miller coming up because of this personally.

you have got to be kidding me? lets hope he wont be out for too long.

I hate to do this, but bring in Miller. He's projected to be our "#2 for the future" and only having limited time in AAA I would have liked to see him start half the year there. Oh well, let's see what he can do.

MRI tomorrow, CC said after the game he'll pitch the opener.

It could've been a lot worse.

WINTER HAVEN, FLA. - C.C. Sabathia threw up his hands, the line drive hitting him just above the left wrist.

Within seconds, he was walking off the field, heading for Winter Haven Hospital.

No, this was not a bad dream. It happened to Sabathia on the second pitch of the game, to Toronto Blue Jays leadoff batter Reed Johnson. Fortunately for the Indians and Sabathia, X-rays were negative. The diagnosis: a bruise that will be treated with ice. Sabathia, who was enjoying a Burger King double whopper-- remained in high spirits in the lockeroom, and was quoted as saying the following:

CC Sabathia said:
OMG Pie !!!

What a warrior....

A double whopper with a pie :chuckles: chaser. He should follow that with a vat of lard. Awesome.

^^^^^^^^now that is some good humor, lol
