I would stagger Cedi and TT. Only one of them should play at the same time. Obviously Cedi is miles better than TT on offense (not just in scoring ability, but also passing and driving), but Cedi is a slasher at heart while TT basically can only score within five feet of the hoop. As a result when they play together, both of their men are always cheating towards the paint.

I definitely agree that Cedi should still get minutes though. His energy is infectious. His effort is undeniable. I don't quite think he is a starter on a great team yet, but he can easily be a bench contributor on a playoff team.
This is the ideal result for a rookie. Almost all rookies are net negatives or at best neutral to slightly positive at best for their regular season. But rookies can become plus players in the playoffs because they have a year of growth to process. He's the perfect type of player for a GS or Houston series. If a rookie Cedi can actually give solid minutes in a playoff run that means you straight up nailed that pick.

To me this run for him might shape up to be an impressive show compared to what we see of him in this regular season. LeBron playing at the 4 will open up minutes to having Cedi at the 3 aka the Jae Crowder role to just have a body in front of KD. You might be able to throw him at Harden while putting Hill on CP. The Cavs are gonna realize replacing TT with Cedi is gonna be the best move for the Playoffs. Cedi will have more days to rest too than he ever did so he'll be able to withstand the beating of the playoffs just like LeBron has to do every year.

Cedi had one of the worst halfs but he bounced back in the 3rd quarter for not just his defense but finding open lanes and wanting to shoot the trey. Cedi looked like a legit NBA player having to bounce back and played a key role in 3rd quarter tonight. As long as he continues to work on his shot, he is gonna be good.

When Cedi gets full confidence and also gets his three-point shot down (Lue said it's improving; Cedi has to adjust from the shorter international line to the longer NBA line), he's going to be a force.

A real force in the league.

He's a gamer. He knows teams are letting him shoot and he WANTED those threes tonight (against Memphis). Like "fuck you for leaving me open. Here's a three in your face."

I love this kid. He's very competitive and has an edge to him.

I love this guys defence...he has the ability to wear people like a glove without fouling...you have to be a very good player to score on cedi
I was joking earlier in the season, but Cedi on Curry in June is something I want to see. Curry will score and get his points , but he will have to work his ass off to do it and he will probably get frustrated at some point and make some silly mistakes.

Cedi has the potential to be a fearsome defender in this league...great size and deceptively quick...its taken me a while but i am now a big fan

Personally Cedi seems better against 2 and 3's. Will Hill in town and Crowder moved out, it's more important to see how well Cedi can against Durant. Huge boost if we can put another guy on Durant who at least isn't go light on that dude

Second half last night was big for Cedi, previous 6 quarters his defense was being negated by being lost on offense. if he can hit those open 3s and get on the break, he'll be starting the rest of the year (Put TT to pasture when Love comes back)

He can guard Klay at least. Good contesting the 3 and fighting through screens

Cedi is actually better against the PnR Ball Handler... ranked in the 93rd Percentile, I think mostly because of his versatility as a switch defender, so he should be better guarding 1's, rather than 2's and 3's that get a lot of their points Off-Screens and on Spot-Ups(He is currently ranked lower on these by a big margin).

What makes Cedi good as a PnR Defender as well is that he gets INTO the pick and doesn't allow the Roll Man to actually roll(So you have the Big Defender only having to deal with 1 player instead of 2 which prevents unnecessary rotation from the perimeter), and by the time he is able to roll, Cedi had already recovered. I think he can effective guarding GSW's PnR because he can switch onto Green and Zaza.

Where you getting that percentile for Cedi?

I'm not able to pull his synergy stats from NBA.com:

Not so sure about that. It usually does not matter if there's a hand in Klay's face. Other than that, I cannot see Cedi doing more.
