Lue needs to pull his head out of his ass and give Cedi some meaningful minutes. All the kid does is hustle, defend, rebound, scrap for loose balls, and generally disrupt. He's done it all season and he is reliable with what he brings to the floor. He knocks down open shots better than Hood and he finishes at the rim better than Clarkson. He gets to the rim when he gets an open lane. Lebron loves him.

WTF is Lue's problem with this kid? It's extremely aggravating and frustrating.

Here is what I do not get. I think it is apparent that LBJ really does Like Cedi. It is obvious that Cedi can play, certainly gives us more than Hood or Clarkson

So to everyone(me probably included) that LBJ calls all the shots....why isnt Cedi Playing?

He's played well every time he has been put in. Clarkson and Hood have not. It is really weird. Need ball handlers and guys who can go to the basket out there. There should be a glaring to keep him off the floor, but he isn't even that young really.

Excellent observation.

"Much of a difference" shouldn't be the standard in a sport where the bounce of one ball can decide a championship. The only way you don't give a player a shot is if you know he can't help you. For Zizic, at least at this point, you could make the case that he could make a bonehead mistake that could really cost you. But that argument isn't there with Cedi. The guy whose minutes he'd take has been generally abysmal, and Cedi has some experience. There's just no real downside, other than to the extent Lue doesn't want to give up the 1% shot chance that Hood gets hot and contributes.

I think its pretty obvious he values that 1% chance of a breakout, couple with a greater than 1% chance of solid minutes (probably in 35-40% range) over solid play from Cedi.

I think Cedi can help for the reasons you all outlined.

The funny thing about Lue if he has a thing not playing rooks in the playoffs is that our rookies are not really inexperienced when it comes to "playoff" or "pressure packed" games. Zizic and Cedi have been professionals most of their lives. Heck, Cedi is even asked to carry his national team in the world stage. That is more pressure than anything Hood and Clarkson has ever experienced combined.

Yep easily performed under more pressure than either has in their career.

People keep saying he is a bad shooter too because of those 2 missed 3's against Philly. To me, him taking those proved how cold blooded this guys is. Somehow those 2 missed shots have ruined his rep

Funny thing is those two misses completely make Lue forgot that Cedi was a big help when they made that big push to trim the lead. Also made the coaching staff forgot the game sealing steal he had against Washington just a game back. Stupid, really.

Yep. they were not in a position to win without that young man. You are right that he also helped win the game the previous game.

Teams had a really hard time scoring with Lebron, Cedi, and Green on the floor. Lue took the wrong lesson form that and expanded Green's minutes and stuck Cedi on the bench.

Cedi should be given minutes in replace of Jeff Green, who was playing horribly this series.

Rest LeBron earlier in the 3rd. He plays pretty good with Jeff and he makes Jeff play harder. Jeff actually passes to his little buddy too

Cedi's thread was buried on page 2 just like he's buried on the bench.

Anyhow... I wonder if there's any chance Lue uses Cedi for even 10 minutes given that Love is out and JR is hobbling? The rotation is thin as hell right now and everyone (except for Lue) knows Cedi can hold his own.

I don't think with the age of this team that you can run Jeff and LeBron at the 4 all game and have JR and Korver play both wing positions for the whole game. Cedi needs to give them some rest. hood is the only other option

you're thinking small, Tyron Lue thinks big and dares to do what others think impossible. Just watch him try!

Never happen. Lue is blindly loyal to Green, and that's the primary reason why Cedi can't get minutes.

Green will get Love's minutes and JR will be playing on a twisted ankle. Those 2 factors should guarantee that Cedi will be called on for rotation minutes but because it's Lue I have zero faith that will happen, and this will hurt the team's chances of winning tonight. Instead Lue will run JR into the ground, play Clarkson regardless of turnovers and bricked shots, and maybe even trot Hood back out there over Cedi. It's unfathomable but IMO very likely. Lebron ends up having to ball out just that much longer and harder because Lue refuses to utilize his assets.

That actually may happen. I was responding to the specific argument that Cedi should play instead of Green.

If he were to put Cedi in, and he plays very well, then that might create a problem with Green/Cedi if Love is there in the next series.

So who the hell knows what Lue will do at this point...
