Because he has a lot of other things going for him that he now doesn't use as often.

I want him closer to Manu Ginobili than Klay Thompson(game style wise). I think he has a higher chance of being impactful if he becomes a multidimensional player, rather than a player that is reliant on his 3pt shot.

There is no reason for him to ditch parts of his game/mentality that made him stand out in the first place.

I think he knows the 3 determines his ceiling. He is going to integrate everything. He is working on his weaknesses here. It is pretty impressive

His shot is pretty impressive right now. He wasn't that kind of shooter a year ago...not close.

He still has a tendency to shift back to his old shooting form at times and that's when you see soem bad misses from him.

Needs to stay consistent with the new form.

I'd be more concerned if Cedi hadn't been slashing and going inside like crazy during summer league just two months ago.

Well, its the international 3. If you can make the shorter 3 you better be thing it. And why would a reliance on the shot that has driven the GSWs to 3 titles in 4 years be a negative?

This game had a prime example. He hit a crazy ass 3 over a defender which was awesome. He was smiling, everybody was cheering, great stuff. But then he tries it again next posession and its an airball.

I mean its far from chucking now, just as SirDom says its pretty surprising compared to his style we are used to. And to be fair he made more good judgments than bad even this game so Im probably overreacting a little.

I like the take of him conciously working on his weaknesses this tournament. Thats great, if so.

Is the Cedi we're seeing now a guy who didn't have these same skills just 4 months ago?

Or is this the guy we could have had getting 25+ mpg during the playoffs if the coach had been willing to play him?

My guess is the former. He's just getting a real chance to show what he had all along. You don't suddenly develop that ability overnight.

Oh, ofcourse it's the former. And that alone should make Lue go look for a job as a broadcaster.

It's ridiculous honestly if you watched the games. What a disaster.

Same thing applies to Zizic honestly.

Speaking of which....

I wonder of Lue is bothering to watch any of those games in which his players are playing.

Cedi is playing with ultimate confidence -- and he is loving the game with that smile on his face.

So excited for him this season.
