-- ## -- NOTES -- ## --
* Everyone's favorite word: BACK-TO-BACK. Second night. We always use this as an excuse for tired play. Nursing hangovers from pre-superbowl festivities in Miami, the Cavaliers slug their way back to Cleveland to play one of the least talented, injury-riddled Bobcats.
* These Bobcats, by the way, are on a nice 2-game win streak, picking up a road win in Denver and a home win versus the Knicks. They plan to continue that streak with a road win in Cleveland.
-: lyXo's Keys to the Game :-
* Run them into the ground. Make them tired. They lack depth with Sean May, Brevin Knight, and Primoz Brezec all out with injury. We could be tired from travelling too, but we're far deeper than they are.
* Clean glass. Gerald Wallace and Emeka Okafor are talented rebounders, but they should prove no match for our frontcourt. Box them out and shut them down, using boards for transition baskets.
* Dominate. LeBron needs to wake up, and actually play this game rather than sit out another one. He needs to have a huge game and carry it on to Sunday, rather than sit this one out and play Sunday. Send a message to the teammates that you're here to play, and here to win every game, not just the nationally televised ones.
* Play the hot hand. If Hughes is struggling, plug in Sasha. If Gooden is being himself, then play Andy. If Donny is stroking, give him minutes. Whoever is on should be getting minutes, hands down.
* Basic offense. It's very easy now that we have a shooter in the lineup. Drive and dish it to him, post Z and dish out of the double. Don't stand 20 feet out and attempt a turnaround jumper. Don't settle for a pull up jumper after dribbling for 20 seconds. Pass the ball around, make the defenders move, and find the openings.
Cavs dominate this one.
