On ESPN Coast to Coast it was talked about our injuries and our loss last night and Broussard said this, mostly paraphrased:

"Most around the league DO expect the Cavaliers to make a trade with Wally S's 13 million expiring contract, but they could very well stand pat and like what they have right now barring last night's game.....The Sacramento Kings have made an offer of Brad Miller for Wally but the Cavs aren't interested in him....BUT the Cavs are interested in Mike Miller, who the Wolves don't know if they will trade yet but if they do the Cavs will try to get him"

:D

What, they offered Miller for Wally straight up? And we didnt take it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

edit: Can W&G confirm what Broussard said since the rumor is already out there? I would just like to know why we aren't interested in a big with size who can rebound/shoot the ball and only has 2 years left on his contract. Oh yea and for Wally.....

Unless they were asking for JJ, but it doesn't say they were.

Brad Miller sucks, I'm glad we didn't take that. :p Personally I'm holding out for a big man that isn't named Brad Miller, although Mike Miller wouldn't be so bad.

Mike Miller has been very underwhelming this year.

I'm sure Ferry thinks we can pull in more than Brad...

We could use his size and he is averaging....

12.5ppg
8.5 rpg
fg- 48%
3pt- 41%

I wouldn't say he sucks, but thats just me..... :dunno:

Mike Miller is nice, but Ferry better have a plan to bring in a big...

Hopefully thats the case, more power to him if he thinks we can. Maybe this could be a deal that sits on the back burner if we can't find anything better.

Even better, in January.

15.4ppg
11.1rpg
4.0apg
52% FG

I'd go with Brad Miller over Mike Miller.

I don't know much about Brad Miller's game, but I'd like to see what other options are out there. I'm sure Ferry declined that trade because he's got something up his sleeve.

damn, i was just coming to post this too.

Like i said on RealGm, i don't think turning down Brad surprises me. He doesn't make the team very much more competitive against L.A or Orlando.

Mike Miller, however, surprises me. I'd think Minny would want to get rid of him for wally at the first sign of an offer. They're playing better under mchale, but not well enough to warrant keeping miller instead of taking the cap relief.

based on this, i'd think Mike Miller may finally be a cavalier as the deadline gets closer. The front office may be waiting to see how the team matches up to orlando and Portland before it decides who to pursue.

Clearly, Ferry is looking for a Mike Miller, Al Jefferson and Ryan Gomes package...:chuckles:

Maybe if the Kings throw in John Salmons, then the Cavs will be interested but until then the Cavs will laugh off a Miller-for-Wally swap...

Although it does seem like the Kings are VERY interested in Wally's contract so they could be a team to watch as the deadline nears, in either a 2-team or 3-team trade...

Mike Miller is always a guy I maintained interest in and I wouldn't be disappointed if we got him... I know Ferry has liked him for awhile..

The Wolves will trade him... They won't hold onto a valuable piece that could bring them a lot back, especially when they're in the dumps... They're just playing the waiting game and trying to get the best offer possible right now...

I wonder who else we'd be able to get, along with Miller... Brian Cardinal/Mark Madsen works financially and his contract would help around the deadline next year but a guy like Ryan Gomes would be real helpful and a guy Ferry expressed interest in over the summer if you guys remember.. Only problem with Gomes is that he's a BYC guy, which will make it hard for him to be traded... Rashad McCants seemed to have falled out of favor in Minnesota but I don't think the Cavs have interest in him... Craig Smith is interesting but I think we need a center moreso then an undersized PF... Jason Collins is a good defensive center, and expiring contract, but not much else...

I'd do a Ryan Gomes, Brian Cardinal and Mike Miller for Wally Szczerbiak, Sasha Pavlovic and 1st round pick, swap---it works financially...

The fact that this piece of info now came out is making me feel much more patient and calm, these 30 days will be a breeze. Unless Ferry doesn't make a trade, holy **** will I be pissed if I have to discuss a year's worth of Ben for Bosh trades.
