Played great today.

I still can't believe my football team (which ended with a 4-6 record) beat his team...

Anyways, he looks like he'll be a good player for the Buckeyes with Ginn..

Anyone notice when they gave Wells the MVP trophey or whatever it's called, the guy said "you'll be going to Ohio state who have Teddy Ginn and Vince Young"? o_O

Missed that. Pretty funny though.

Smith is similar to Young..

Ooh..He said that?

I thought he said he'd be joining Vince Young..

Thats a pretty small LB. 225 lbs?? He better beef up if he wants to be a LB in the Big ten

227 is actually pretty big for high school. Out of the 9 guys ranked ahead of him in the nation, only 2 weigh more:

good stuff cstyle.

we havent had to many kids from cali, he better represent well.

and about the weight, hawk is 240 so 13 pounds can be gained within a year, i think.

We also have that Schwartz kid from Dana Point, and last year grabbed Ryan Williams from Mission Viejo. That's it though. And both those kids have ties to Columbus. It's tough to get west coast kids to come all the way out here. Fortunately the talent's so rich in Ohio that we don't need a whole lot of help from out of state to get the job done!

JT's been doing well in GA lately too. We've always done well in Florida, with JT and Cooper, but GA is kind of a new hot spot. Every year we're in on several kids from that state, and land one or two of them.

Chalk up another victory for JT. Only three stars, but check out the offer list at the bottom:

Also, four blocked punts and 11 sacks in 6 games is damned impressive, I don't care if it is just high school!

"They want me to play the Leo position for them," he said. "It's like a nickel position. Sometimes I'll be playing with my hand down on the ground for them. Sometimes I'll be playing up as an outside linebacker."
This is the role that Carpenter filled.

"The highlight of my trip to Ohio State was my meeting with Coach Tressel. He is the most respectable guy I have ever sat down to talk with."
