Cleveland Browns 2019 Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Chiefs are giving up more for Frank Freaking Clark than we did for Odell Beckham Jr.
Are they though?

One first does not equal another first.

17 has far more value than 29

Peppers and the 3rd we gave up to me is more value than a 2020 2nd that should be in the high 20s

Not a great deal for the Chiefs but they did not give up more than we did for OBJ

Edit: to be clear, I was and still am over the moon happy with the the OBJ trade are fully comfortable with the price we paid

Am I crazy to believe AZ doesn’t draft Murray?

I, along with every Cards fan I know out here, is praying that it isn't Murray.

Fans sort of got that Rosen was going to suck with an awful line, no weapons, and a terrible scheme.

Come to Western (not Pittsburgh) Pa.

We have crippling economic depression, blight like you cant fathom, taxes on taxes on taxes, an opioid epidemic of plague-like proportions and an incredibly corrupt government.

But for the epicurean we have more wing joints, pizza places and sandwich shops than you can shake a stick at.

Not to mention a minor league hockey team.
I was born and raised there (Sharon). Schools were excellent in the 60's and 70's, and it was a great place to grow up as far as sports, neighborhoods with lots of kids to hang with, great playgrounds and school programs. I left when I was 18, in the mid 70's and whenever I visited home it always seemed to be going downhill ever since. I never had any desire to go back. Last fall I drove through my hometown on my way from NY to Ohio and although some things looked the same, a lot of areas looked really rough. It really looks like an area that has been left behind.

One of the best secondary effects of a Cleveland team starting a window of success is the opportunity to adopt a trainwreck side piece to follow.

Back when LeBron was in his first run with the Cavs I adopted the hapless Warriors. Then during the second tour of LeBron duty I picked up the Delly led Bucks. Watch how a team goes from disaster to contender while Cleveland wins, it keeps the ying in equal balance with the yang.

The Niners are questionable and I'll be following them, but I really enjoy the unbridled ego of Jon Gruden. If you want a later bloomer, Oak Vegas is a great selection.

Yep.

I was always rooting for the Dallas Mavaliers during our 4-year NBA Finals stint. They will always have a special place in my heart.

Well, clearly, if you break it down with the draft value chart...

...my post was as if I was ribbing my father. If he took multiple slices of pizza, I might say "Jeez, save some for the rest of us!" In said scenario, he didn't literally take the entire pizza. However, I'm saying that to draw attention to how much pizza he took.

In this scenario, I was saying "Jeez, they gave up more for Frank Clark than we did for OBJ!" Same story, it's more-so to draw attention to how much the Chiefs gave up.

Don't know what cards fans you are talking to, but the ones I know, and I know a ton, want Murray.

Its probably the wrong pic, but QB is flashy, DE or DT is not.

Think that’s a massive mistake on your part

Woah. I could see it though. Even though LB isn't a strength right now. Schobert is good but he's not elite, and he's likely gonna want elite money.

Not to mention LBs are almost as replaceable as RBs.

Certain guys will be cap casualties and he could be one.

I don't agree on the replaceable part on LB's, but Dorsey agrees with you so I could see trading Joe instead of paying him.

Shobert went in the fourth, so did Josey Jewell last year. You can get a coverage linebacker around there

That depends on the strength of the LB class and this years class is notoriously shallow, perhaps only eclipsed by the CB class.

The correct move is to let someone else overpay so you can get a compensatory pick if you're going to let him go. He's not garnering a 1 or 2 so wait for a 3rd since he'll get a good deal in FA.

And the excuses for trading good players begin!
I mean, good players get traded all the time in the NFL out of necessity. It happens. Shit, Frank Clark just got traded today.

Well yeah, nobody is saying to give Joe away for nothing. You don't trade him now unless the value makes sense.

I wonder if he could be part of a package to move up into the 1st round.

Devin Bush, anyone?

Also, lets say your scenario plays out. We let Joe walk to get a compensatory pick. When will we know for sure what round that pick will land in? Not very familiar with the overall compensatory process.
