Cleveland Browns 2022 Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If the Browns win today they will have gone 4 and 2 in the AFC North. The Browns will either have the best record in the North or will be tied with Baltimore depending on their outcome and still miss the playoffs somehow. This is what frustrates me... That god damn Jets game...
Yes... Clearly it was just the Jets game that kept them out of the playoffs. You can't special 'dysfunctional' without 'functional', so maybe you are on to something.

As a Steelers fan I'm also blaming their loss to the Jets as for why they'll probably miss out.

They were, somehow, the only team all season to make Zach Wilson look like a competent QB that game.

They had a 10 point lead after scoring a couple of minutes into the 4th quarter and couldn't stop Zach Wilson from leading two TD drives.

It was Joe Flacco

Think the Browns should work real hard to get Jacoby back. I know it takes two to tango, but they need to extend the hand. That’s a guy your team trusts if he’s called upon.

I’m not going to get my hopes up on Chubb. I can see it being the next controversy now: he’ll be 38 yards shy and Kareem Hunt will be in on the drive that could get Chubb the last yards he needs.
Which will then be forever known as, "Giving him the Stefanski". :)

The scheme can work with much better play-calling and creativity.

It's no coincidence that the Browns have the least amount of perfectly covered plays on defense. You can put some blame on the players but I think the main reason we're not covering opponents is because opponents know ~exactly~ what we're doing. Allows them to draw up plays to take advantage.

I need the folks in here who understand football better than I do (which will be many of you) to assure me that DeShaun Watson’s play suggests, from an on the field standpoint, that what we gave up for him is justifiable. Posting from emotion here—would love some cause for optimism.
