So what's the deal with Brock?
Are the Browns keeping him? Or is it expected that he'll be cut a week after the draft, in the event that we cannot find a taker?
VerSachi is talking about Brock competing for the starting spot today:

"We expect Brock to be here. He's in, done a good job, coming in the first couple days. Positive young man," Brown said Wednesday during the team's pre-draft news conference. "He's got some ability and talent and we look forward to him trying to establish himself here and have a chance to compete to be the starting quarterback."
...But this is silly season in the NFL, where every team is bluffing to get their top draft targets.
It would be quite the coup if he somehow was able to turn things around.
Then again, we've been saying that for years with X QB trying to revive a flagging career.
Is there a particular reason he fucking sucked in Houston or did Denver just do a really good job of making mediocre look decent? @AZ_
If a trade materializes for Brock at some point between now and camp, then go for it. Even if it's for a 2018 6th round pick or "give up a 7th to get a 6th" or something of that ilk.
If not, the Browns have to pay him for 2017 anyway so they might as well keep him as a backup/third stringer.
He's not good, but he does have 21 career starts which is more than the rest of the QBs on the roster combined right now.
Assuming he's not going to act like complete asshole/distraction in the QB meeting room (which is not necessarily a guarantee based on some of the comments out of Houston since he was traded), then there's no real downside to having him on the roster.
If it appears he has an attitude about being a backup or anything of the sort, then you can cut him and be on your way.
So it looks like Bridgewater might be available because Vikings arent picking up his 11 million dollar option.
Knee injury was really, really bad, but do we have any interest in getting into a bidding ware for him with the Vikings?

He had a lot of choice words to say about the Cleveland Browns after the draft a few years ago. He's not coming here, nor do I see us kicking the tires. For the right price we have no reason not to at least look at him next season. He didn't play poorly in Minnesota, but it's possible he never recovers too.
