Final thought: I think as long as LeBron, Kyrie, and Love are here, the offense will always be able to be championship level.
So when addressing what additions and improvements can we make to the roster going forward, a main question will linger. Can this player make an impact defensively to or above the expectations of the position they play.
So, if we add another PG(remember Delly can also play SG in some lineups), can he defend at a high level off the dribble.
If we add another wing player, is he versatile, can he defend multiple positions, is his footspeed good, can he close out quickly on three point shooters, can he deny a guy off the dribble
If we add another center, can he block shots, use verticality well, deny post position well, box out well, and make defensive rotations correctly.
Not that specific offensive skills should be ignored, but I just think ultimately they will look for players who at a baseline are athletic and can defend tenaciously.
