2005-06 SERIES: Cavs 1-0

LAST MEETING: December 31, 2005...With great energy the Cavs came out huge on New Years Eve and handled the Pistons 97-84.

TCF's Keys
*We need to contain Billups from the arc,get around the screens and stay with Rip,and guard Sheed out on the 3

*This may be a game where LeBron needs to put on a show and attack the Wallaces, get them in foul trouble

*Contribution from others will be needed,Ilgauskas and LeBron cant do it all...Look for Flip Murray to make an impact along with Sasha

*Pound the Wallaces, they are shot blockers but they can't guard Z down low,Ben is too small for Ilgauskas

*Don't let the crowd win the game for them, take the momentum and quiet the crowd, this may need to happen with LeBron putting on a show

Final Note
Everyone knows how good we are at home considering we beat the Spurs,Pistons, and Suns. But prove to them that we can win a big game on the road.Billups barely scored last meeting and he is going to want revenge against the Cavs.

Prediction:Cavs show the world they are worthy 88-84

HUGE HUGE HUGE game here. I am not expecting a win here, but I would be lying to you guys if I told you that I don't think we can win this game.

Yes the Piston's play terrific at home, but judging from history, the Cavaliers have played extremly well against the Pistons. Also, the Cavaliers play extremly well during Sunday afternoon games.

It would be big BIG BIG to come up with a road win in Detroit. That would swing us some momentum and mabey gain some confidence to this team, because I sence a sleeping meltdown that is waiting to wake up. Hopefully it doesn't start after the Detroit series.

i remember last year we played them at Detroit when we fell apart towards the end of the year on ABC at detroit.Lebron air balled the game tying 3.

I say sit everyone on the road, leaving everyone well rested the following night here for the split....

Im just hoping the Cavs can win one of the two. If they play like the last two losses forgettaboutit, Cavs will get killed.

No need to panic now fellas, or worry about another collapse. This is a tough stretch with a lot of games in a short period against quality teams. The schedule looks better to me in March, lots of winnable games. Once Flip finds his groove, Cavs will be tough to beat.

For now we need a minor miracle to win in Detroit, where the Pistons have revenge on their minds....

The secret to beating Detroit is solid backourt defense and feeding Z in the low block. Unfortunately, we are in a state of flux in the backourt and Z generally isn't the same player in the second game of a back to back. LBJ should take the booing last night personally and score about 45. I can't remember the last time LBJ had two clunkers in a row. Still, I don't know if this will be enough. I'm looking at a 6 point loss.

Im predicting Flip to have a HUGE game today. After this game i think coach Brown will realize that Flip has way better D than sasha and isnt streaky like sasha. Flip has a chance to work himself into the starting lineup within the next week! I'm goin with the W for the wine and gold! GO CAVS

SIDE NOTE: Today this may be our problem if Flip doesn't get in there early & alot.

Rasheed Wallace called for flagrant on Z. Wallace frustrated by Z's spin moves and just hacked his forehead, Z's bleeding a lot but no malicious intent. Z goes to locker room

totally excessive foul by sheed, goin for the ball my ass. Punk. I think this will fire up the team, and Cavs will kick some ass!!!!!

we should just use all of our timeouts until Z gets stitched up so we can have an offense again (other than Bron creating, scoring, doing everything else, etc.)

damon looks too short to guard rip... this could be trouble... i like sasha on rip, since he seems to be a decent off-the-ball defender.

That 3 by Marshall was awesome, bounced off back of the rim and in. Marshall misses another 3. Marshall takes a nice dish from Lebron inside. 18-15 Detroit.

rebounding looks decent so far and marshal learned his lesson and decided not to camp out at the line...oops spoke too soon

Flip running the point. Z bobbles a nice inside dish by Flip.

Detroit blows a lob. Flip hits a 3 at the other end. Ben Wallace with an alley-oop. 25-17 Detroit, pace in their favor.
