Cleveland Indians 2018-2019 Offseason Outlook

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Beginning packages for me with Kluber/Bauer:

LAA: Jo Adell and Jahmai Jones
SD: Fernando Tatis Jr. and Mackenzie Gore
CIN: Nick Senzel and Taylor Trammel
WAS: Victor Robles and Luis Garcia
ATL: Austin Riley and two of Kyle Wright, Mike Soroka, Ian Anderson, Touki Toussaint
OAK: Matt Chapman straight up, or Jesus Lazardo, Sean Murphy and Austin Beck
LAD: Cody Bellinger or Corey Seager + lower level prospect
CHI: Ian Happ and Alex Lange

SD would be so good. Tatis Jr is going to be a beast.

San Diego, Washington, LAD, and Cincinnati interest me most of the players you named.

If the Indians are going solely on the prospect route and not established players like you suggest in the LAD or Oakland deal, then I would more than OK with the return from LAA, CIN and ATL. Jo Adell is a bonafide stud and I think will be the best player listed of any of the prospects on this list.

I think most of these deals provide impact prospects who are ready now. The only deals where I think they would have to wait on impact would be LAA and SD, with Jo Adell coming more quickly than people think because he's a mfing stud.

Yeah, Adell is lesser known because the Angels have had a poor system for several years and because he's on the West coast. But he's without a doubt a top 10 prospect in majors right now and needs to be in the conversation for Top 5 in my opinion. The guy is exactly what you want from today's outfielders in the major league. Speed and power with excellent defense. I think of Mookie Betts style of play. Would love to have him.

Getting Bellinger from LAD remains my biggest hope out of all of this. I think it's unlikely, but I think general public is not aware of what kind of prospect that Adell is.

I'll take Bellinger+ for Bauer in a minute
I agree. Im with you, keep Kluber over Bauer. Trev is starting that crazy money, 1 year deal talk. Kluber seems much safer to keep. I think Dodger fans would be pissed if they traded Bellinger though.

Kluber has arm slot issues, needed an injection in his knee and has experienced back issues. But he’s cheaper over the next two years most likely.

You just hope the bomb doesn’t go off there if you keep him.

That's a tough call for LA. Bellinger is only 23, and looks to be a star for a long time. But they are literally 1 or 2 pieces away, and Kluber or Bauer would get them that much closer. And they do have a ton of outfielders.

It seems like the Dodgers have a pretty good starting rotation already,. They are pretty much loaded everywhere it seems. I guess they would feel Kluber or Bauer would put them over the top. Bellinger has all the tools though. To me that would be the perfect trade.

Yeah, i was thinking those things to. The fan in me just likes having him on my team. If we got a really good haul for him i could learn to live with it i guess. I do have that " ticking health time bomb" feeling with him though. I also have that feeling he will go to whatever team and be like Verlander in Houston. Im really torn with Corey.

Let's all hope that the Dodgers land Harper, which would make them far less "hesitant" to deal Bellinger.

I was going to ask who can be our Scott Kazmir type of acquisition but you seem to have it covered with Shields which I don't mind one bit.
