A general discussion thread of the games. I'm thinking we don't need any more series threads unless or until the Indians show signs of competing again.

No hitting tonight. Literally. I don't want to hear about the excuse of some kind of elite pitcher either. This team can't hit any pitcher who throws against them right now. It's sad.

I'm so happy Sizemore is leading off again. In three games, he's got 7 SO's. I'm all for a leadoff guy who strikes out. That's a priority.

Just awful so far tonight. Bad defense as well as bad hitting. Zero hitting.

Manny Acta shouldn't let elite pitchers dominate him like this.

A good talker would have this team motivated.

Choo has been nothing but AWFUL. I seriously hate this guy with a passion, you'd think he'll step up and be a leader. Shit, you guessed wrong.

Verlander is obviously a dominant pitcher, but there really is no excuse for the offense. We've been abysmal for a while now.

The offense is simply embarrassing right now. I'm not sure how these guys can accept a pay check when they get shut out every other game and only win when Carrasco tosses a shutout. We'd be on the verge of some heads rolling if this team were actually serious about competing this year.

I'm not sure I have ever seen an offense play like this over a month span or so. It is just unbelievable. Scoring 3 runs in a game at this point should be considered a success.

This is ten times worse than back in 07. Remember when our offense dissappeared during mid summer but this is soo much worse. We were all crying out for another back and the dolans gave us a retired kenny lofton. Seems like we get shut out every other game. There is no way halfner can save us. no way see first the rest of the year. Well be in 3rd by the end of the month....

If we do fake a reason for Carmona's shitty season, PLEASE for the love of god don't bring up David Huff sorry but a 2-11 record last year NEVER AGAIN! He's the next Jeremy Sowers.

Carmona will probably have a good game to delay what we know is coming anyway. I guess Huff does deserve another chance to do something. I'm not opposed to seeing him again. We could use a LH up here.

The biggest issue we have is hitting. Acta was making all the right moves at the start, but now it seems he can't make any right moves. The hitting has gotten worse since Sizemore is leading off and Santana is #2. Santana hasn't walked at all since being moved. Brantley and Droobs have slumped as well.

I see Acta doesn't put much emphasis on this Detroit series in June. That's fine. Let's see what happens if we lose two of three to them and then Hafner returns. Do we all the sudden start hitting again? We'll see.

That's another thing; Hafner hit in his first game last night. He walked once and got a single and went 1-2. He has a day off today. Why the hell does he have a day off? Unbelievable.

BTW: It was encouraging that Choo hit the ball well a few times. He had two really good swings. An almost HR and a hard hit ball that was well played.

Another head scratcher. Sizemore has stated very recently that he felt more comfortable playing CF and not simply DH'ing. So why is Acta only DH'ing him now? The last two or three games in a row he has been the DH. I'm not getting this. Is there something more with the knee than we are being told?
