Cleveland St VS Butler

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If they could box out they might be up.

DOD DAMN VAN ZANT AND HIS ENDLESS STRING OF 25 FT 3'S.

Took till 1 min left but we got the Matt Howard flop call.

So glad he's gone.

Save the Van Zant miracle 3's, CSU wins that game despite being bitchslapped on the boards.

Gotta look on the bright side. Averaged 12 Horizon League wins and 22 overall wins last 4 years. "Only" lose Norris, but D'aundrey Brown will be back and they should finish top 3-4 in the league again. Between Ced, Norris, Montgomery and Tre, I think Waters has shown he can develop guards. Hopefully Norris goes round 1 this year for a recruiting boost. Start getting some quality bigs, and CSU might really have something.

Cleveland State's best player next year is still in high school. Anton Grady i think his name is? He goes to Cleveland Central Catholic, 4 star recruit, turned down Purdue (and heard a rumor Ohio State too, but not sure about that one) to stay close to home.

Ya. Starting 5 next year likely will go Tre, Mongomery, Brown, Grady and Pogue.

What a waste of a fucking year. I cannot believe they lost three times to the same team. If only Brown didn't fuck up his wrist. Brad Stevens owns Gary Waters. After the season's over, I hope Matt Howard enjoy's his career as a 6'11 farmer.

Anton Grady is a legit recruit. Actually it's Waters first legit recruit to sign with Cleveland State. If he can grow a few more inches, he's going to absolutely destroy the Horizon.

Also, Charles Lee is a PG to keep an eye on.

And fuck Butler. If they lose and get in, I'll be extremely pissed.

I'm not sure why anyone is shocked...Cleveland State was a very good team this year, but a bit overrated locally. Butler - even in a down year - is a hell of a program, and has a much better team than CSU.

With that said, very good season for Cleveland State. Hopefully they get into the NIT or CBI for the sake of their seniors and their fans. I think losing Norris Cole is going to hurt them more than some are letting on though.

Yes, CSU was the epitome of beat everybody you are supposed to, but couldn't beat a big time team. WVU, ODU, Butler - 0-5. The best win all year was...Valpo at home? @ UWM? Kent St? The fact that they 2x controlled their own destiny for the Horizon makes it frustrating.

Considering where the program was during the late Rollie/Mike Garland years, the future is bright. Going 26-8 used to be a great year. Now, its disappointing.

Definitely making up for his scoring will be impossible. The hope is that additions of Brown and Grady, plus the entire rest of the roster coming back will help offset. 20-25 wins, top 3-4 in the Horizon, should be a realistic goal.

CSU was a solid big man away from being a very good defensive team and a NCAA tourney team. If you can't rebound, it doesn't really matter how good your defense is. Getting Brown back next season will help with the loss of Cole, but hopefully there are some big men in the pipeline.
