No threads with just names and/or ?????

Like Trade Z????, Martel Webster, Stephon Curry, Chase Budinger!

It seems as of late I see more and more of them everyday.

I second this motion.

Well, I don't see a need for a new rule about that but I can ask the moderation staff to change the topic title to something more appropriate if they come across a thread like that.

Isn't the point of the topic title to deliver the subject of the topic itself? That's what those topic titles are doing, it would seem.

A thread title should be the topic of dicussion, not the just the person's name. This isn't the ESPN board or Cavs.com.

If the topic of discussion is a player, then I think the player's name suffices. There doesn't need to be anything extra, that's more or less a waste.

I agree with theISHT on this one. A couple of words to describe the content makes for easier viewing. It looks ordinary with a series of threads that theIsht mentioned. Will lesson the chances of numerous threads on the same topic as well.

Right.

A topic called "Rasheed Wallace" could be 'Rasheed announces retirement' or 'We should trade for Rasheed' or 'Rasheed signs with Memphis', etc.

Plus, those are all very different topics for discussion, and I'd prefer not to discuss 8 different and independent aspects that may or may not involve that player in one giant thread.

Let's see, threads started by theSTEREO...

"Haha. Paul Pierce" That's not very descriptive.
"Haha. Eddie Curry" Same as above. How am I supposed to know what this topic contains without having to click on it?

I said this in the previous topic. Do you want to be part of the problem, or the solution. And I'm going to add that maybe you should practice what you preach.

I don't think this is a big deal at all. I'm fine with just names as titles. If it is in the ferry's advocate section, then they title it just the players name, I don't think it is necessary to say "We should trade for Villanueva" but rather just say "Charlie Villanueva" and people will know that person is suggestion the idea of trading for Charlie Villanueva, and more details on him would likely be in the OP's post.

Touché sir, touché.

However, in my defense, that was purely for comedic effect on those too, where I was trying to bait everyone's curiosity to get in there.

If you look at the other 95% of my posts, I usually try to be very specific with the title. Maybe there are a few that break the rules, but really, if those two you mentioned are the only two you could find, I'd say I'm in pretty good shape, no?

Also... what did I ever do to you? :dunno: :( :boxer:

Fair enough. I'm just nitpicking.
