Do we know for sure SBF stole money? I think they had to let him go because there is no evidence of fraud at this point, not saying it didnt happen, but it could be also very bad management of FTX which was high, high, high risk to begin with.
 
So if you are fleeing, your first stop might be a country where officials can be bribed. And your second might be a country with no extradition treaties..

Dude is expert in Crypto, so can't imagine he hasn't hidden assets..

From Dubai, he can make a nice living advising Sheiks and Russian oligarchs how to protect assets..

Even without stealing the money he lost consumer deposits by sharing them with an affiliated “hedge fund” and committed financial fraud with his balance sheet reporting
 
It's difficult to have any sympathy for the people who get scammed by these exchanges.

History is free. If you have any understanding whatsoever, you know what banking was like before regulations, specifically pre-FDR's New Deal. These exchanges acting like deregulated crypto banks are no different. They're subject to bank runs and everything else that goes along with the territory.

If you're new to the game and ignorant of history, you still know "Not your wallet, not your crypto."

I hate the way people get taken for rides. I hate the way the finance industry strips us of our resources. You have to be a special type of stupid--or just willfully ignore every precaution--in order to put your trust in these shenanigans.

Someone stole $600 million friday night. Strong chance it was him.
