How are you going back Jim Brown for anything he has done in his career? What has he done that is so great? Being an athlete makes you an accomplished person? The only thing he has done successfully is play football. Other than that I'm sure Doug is as accomplished, if not more accomplished then Jim Brown. Are you really going to hold it against Doug that he wasn't athletic enough to play in the NFL?

I would like to believe that racism will eventually disappear. In general, American society has taken big steps in regards to racial equality over the past 50 years. Who knows where we will be in another 50 years. If America still exists in 50 years...:chuckles:

I'm sick of it anyway. Dan Gilbert's letter had absolutely ZERO to do with race and everything to do with being hurt and disappointed for doing ALL he could do for that jerk named James.

People sticking in the race card for that letter need to be sat down and told a thing or two. These types of people act like they never took 6th grade or ever had a friend of the opposite color. Has Brown and others been living under a rock or something? I think so. Someone needs to put a whooping on them. We don't need idiots like this speaking for northeast Ohio or Ohio period.

Very true. If I recall, he created spats and tension with Paul Brown and got him thrown out of Cleveland because of it. Jim Brown started his acting crap when he was still playing football. He retired because of acting for the most part. He truly was one of the first divas in Pro Sports. He relates to James in that way I'm sure. Cleveland and Ohio loved him, but many out there did not because of the way he acted.

He now is acting the same. He needs to shut the hell up.
