Denver Nuggets @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For real, fill in with Shannon and Simmons. Hopefully after that game, at least Gooden will be back.

Honestly, I'd sit everybody out until after the all-star break...

By then we'll hopefully have everybody with the exception of Sasha and Andy...

'Cuz we only have Orlando and San Antonio left, both of whom we won't be shorthanded...

I don't disagree with that.

Ira is hurt? I stopped watching at about 6 minutes left in the game.

He hurt his ankle for foot in the last couple of minutes chasing a ball out of bounds.

Imagine if we don't have LeBron. The score would be like 120-50

If LeBron had Melo's midrange game, it would be over...

Carmelo is a 40% midrange shooter. LeBron is a 36% midrange shooter. Because LeBron takes more threes, the overall difference in their eFG%s on jumpers is only .396 to .412, and last year LeBron was actually better on jumpers. Mid-range shots are nice for freeing up drives to the basket, but ultimately should only be used as a secondary weapon. (League-average "True Shooting" percentage is about 53.5%, and just about nobody, not even guys like Nash, Rip or Dirk, is even that good from midrange.) Carmelo's admittedly better mid-range game hasn't had that effect, as he's taken around 50 more mid-range Js than LeBron this season. Carmelo has a deadly first step, but his reliance on his mid-range J (which isn't always on like it was tonight or last night-he was 10-27 6 days ago-that reaction is kind of like a Laker fan watching game 5 and wishing Kobe could shoot like LeBron.) has caused him to have a lower FG% than LeBron even though he gets something LeBron doesn't, which is easy looks inside off penetration by guards (formely 'Dre Miller, now AI.) It would be nice if LeBron had a more reliable J from outside, but it wouldn't make him the deus ex machina that many think he would be. A more consistent free throw stroke would be far more helpful to him than a midrange game, and more importantly, LeBron's doing just about all he can to carry this team right now, but people still continue to focus on what he can't do. How's your boy Wade doing, Pip? Haven't seen him in your avatar recently, although he did just get bailed out with that ridiculous Shaq trade.
