Why does signing Rose mean you can't bring in an All-Star PG for Kyrie? What are we limiting in a trade by signing Rose???

Rose is way better than Deron was for us... he is a big upgrade as a leader of the second unit, if that's what he becomes.

Honestly the Cavs are in a good place. If there are no good trades out there they should keep Kyrie for another year. We don't have to answer to Kyrie's needs. Hell, if Kyrie doesn't like it he can come off the bench to humble him.

I've got a thought about the 3 ball and last seasons Cavs.

I think we might've had too many 3 ball shooters. So many that some guys never got in sync because the shots were so spread out among different players.
If Rose shoots less 3's than Kyrie , maybe JR or Korver might be more effective.

When JR is on I'd like for him to get more shots. He should've had 5 more 3s in game 5, at the least. You could be on to something...

Well I was never concerned with Calderon touching the ball he's a crafty passer and solid 3 point shooter. Hopefully this means Calderon sits on the end of the bench and doesn't see the floor cause his defense is atrocious.

I like the Rose addition all things considered. He can be a dynamic player and plays with a bit of a chip on his shoulder when he's focused. As others said we don't need his 3's. do we? He can be a slasher type. Can he hold up though? The staff needs to keep him healthy to max out his benefit and ours.

Rose has torn so many ligaments in his knee though so it's not as simple as saying "a 28 year old former MVP wouldn't agree to come off the bench." Maybe he was promised a starting spot but I don't think it's that wild to think of him agreeing to come off the bench.

I have never been a Derrick Rose fan but for $2 million you definitely can't argue with this signing.

I may take this back in February when he blows out a knee sexually assaulting a groupie.

It's been reported that the Cavs have already discussed with Rose that he could be in either a starting or reserve role. Not sure where you got the promised a starting role part from, but that's not the case.
