Has anybody every bought a digital camcorder?

Are they worth buying? The picture look ok?

Im going to New York and I want one to video me playing at the parks in NYC. I also want one just to have to get me hoopin around where I play.

I had a MiniDV one, it was ok but I dont want to spend $250 for a camera.

Digital ones run about $100 and if it's worth it, I wanna get one.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "digital camcorder?" Mini DV is basically as low as you can go and you'll still be happy with it. After that, the picture quality is pretty weak. I'd really recommend HDD or a DVD one, as the quality that they can record is far superior. But they are both a lot more than 250.

I'm sure the digital ones for 100 are shitty. If your buying something like a digital camera, your going to want something tight and high quality. Don't waste your money on something that will let you down.

I would probably check the return policy at wal mart. Then, if it's 30 days on electronics, and they are able to be opened, I would "buy" the best camcorder they have there. And then I'd use it for what little bits you need it for, make my DVD or whatever, and then return it.

Thought about that, lol...

You can't sign out/request shit from your college library? I know it's been awhile since i was in school, but i seem to recall that you could do stuff like that as well.

It'd work if I had a school.
