Dion Waiters

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Had a sick steal, that led to an assist and a layup. Also had a terrible pass on a 3-1 fast break. And another made jumper and drew the foul (then bricked the FT). Dion looking like the team he's on actually knows how to use him.

Made another jumper. Played some nice help D crashing down on the big that got it, then recovered quickly. Then airballed the buzzer beater.

He's been playing great but he just airballed a step back 2 right after air balling a free throw. His shot is so on and off.

He didn't airball the FT, it grazed the left side of the rim.

Well, he still fades all over the place, when he gets back to last year's form and gets rid of the sweep and sway crap he's trying out this year, he'll be in a lot better shape. Last year he was much more disciplined in his form, he really just seems to be trying something new that's failing miserably. Reminds me of how Kyrie tinkered with the floater in his 3rd year, just pure disaster.

I don't know about you but I've seen Dion do that since his rookie year.

Maybe this isn't the norm, but Dion looks like the best defender off the bench for the Thunder, everyone else looks like a turnstile. If people had Reggie Jackson tabbed as a defender, he's not. He's been atrocious in the last 2 games. Dion with 3 steals, and another virtual turnover forced as he knocked a ball almost to mid court with 3 seconds left on the shot clock, Exum was forced into a highly contested 3 pointer because of it.

Waiters just finished a floater. He flashed one of those with Cleveland a few games ago. If he adds that to his game, it will help so much with his lack of finishing ability.

This might be the wrong thread but whats with the Thunder this year? I mean I get that Durant and Westbrook were hurt early, but even with them back they don't seem to be playing really well.

I'd say it's just hard to find your rhythm against teams that are already in mid-season form and you are still in early season form.

BIG SHOT WAITERS

Dion CLUTCH.

HUGE 3 with 23 seconds left to put the Thunder up 4.

I think Rich is right, but it's only a matter of time. They have two 30 PER types (nobody has come close to that), very good defensive bigs, one of whom can shoot as well, a very good perimeter defender in Roberson, etc. This will be a damn tough team to beat in thenplayoffs if they get there.

Happy for Dion. Let's hope this trade works out for both sides.

That bench is terrible for OKC, Dion will fit right in. Reggie Jackson is OK, but he does some seriously dumb stuff AND his defense is bad. Really bad. Waiters defense looked great, especially man to man, but even his help defense looked solid in this game, crashing down to help on bigs and getting back on his man quickly.

Yeah, Jackson's defense is awful and looks like he's already replaced by Dion in all of two games. Dion was our best defender over the last two-three weeks and looks to perhaps be willing to buy in on that side of the ball.
