Someone offered me:

LESEAN McCoy & Nate Washington (to me)

For:

Steve Smith & Beanie Wells

I have
Fitzgerald, Dez, Stephen Jackson, Ray Rice, Daniel Thomas, James Starks, AJ Green Ocho, Smith & Wells.

I think this trade is good. Do you guys agree?

Which steve smith?

Flex league? How many rb's and wr's do you play?

And which McCoy?

I wouldn't do it. Beanie has been carrying the ball very well and didn't seem negatively effected by the hammy last week. He hasn't been a threat to catch the ball, so if this is a PPR league you might have a reason to keep him as a flex play. In non PPR leagues, I'd call him an every week #2 RB. Steve Smith is back to being a top 10 receiver now that he has a quarterback who can throw the long ball.

Nate Washington is going to be a good receiver for the rest of the year, but I don't think he is going to be better than Smith. Is McCoy worth more than a #2RB to you? He isn't to me.

EDIT: I assumed you were talking about Colt McCoy... which McCoy is it?

PPR league, flex position is RB-TE-WR.

And it's LeShaun McCoy

Starting lineup would be:
Shaub
Rice
McCoy
Stephen Jackson
Dez Bryant
Larry Fitzgerald
Tony Gonzalez
Henery (k)
Ravens D (actually just traded Fitzpatrick for Ben Roethlesberger & Ravens D)

Steve Smith, WR Carolina

My thoughts were a backfield of McCoy & Rice is too good to pass on. Having Stephen Jackson as my flex option would be ridiculous. Also, I think the league is gonna figure out Cam Newton by the end of the season, which will be bad for Steve Smith. And Wells is oft injured, so I'm selling both of these guys really high

Steve Smith may end up a top 5 WR and Beanie is, quietly, in the top 20 scorers overall despite missing a game (WOW). That said, You have great depth and you are getting the single best player in the deal. Washington is going to be vying for your third WR, which is important during bye weeks.

If you have two starters pull hammies next week, you will miss having two studs at two different positions, but McCoy is so good, I don't know why the other guy is so desperate to move him. You will be solid for the playoffs with the deal, which is what really counts.

My thought was whether you could get a better WR than Washington.

Yeah, Nate is pretty steady. Assuming Beanie gets hurt and league figure out Newton...you're in good shape. If neither of those happen, you're going to look like a gigantic asshole. Bottom line is you're selling high, which is usually a good thing.

How am I gonna look like an asshole? Lineup of Schaub, Le McCoy, Rice, Dez, Fitz, Stephen Jackson, Gonzo, Ravens D is better than what I had imo

Because Beanie Wells and Steve Smith have been fucking monsters. If they continue to play the way they have been...you'd look like an asshole. Fact of the matter is...they probably won't.

The other fact of the matter is...that you ARE an asshole. So this is moot.

Agreed (to the asshole portion of your text). Beanie always gets hurt. And as we talked about, I'm really doing it as a McCoy for Steve Smith, which, imo, is a no brainer. I like Wells a lot, but I do not trust him at all. He's had one monster week. Smith was hard to part with, but I wanted to keep Dez and Fitzgerald (maybe could have gone with Dez, as this is a PPR league and Smith is gonna get more receptions than Dez), but do I trust Newton to keep this going for the entire season?

Errryone should pick up Monty Hardy if he's available in your league. He's getting good touches and if the rumors are true about Hillis being traded you might want to get him before the waiver wire rape that will ensue.
