This is an exciting hire. I can see multiple things generating excitement leading up to July 1. We might have a new coach (a college legend, I know I know, the college coach thing), and maybe trade for a lottery pick before Lebron ever has to make a decision.

Like others, I don't believe it yet.

I am not really a fan of this, but at the same time who else is really available? Nobody really.

I just can't get excited about a guy that has never coached an NBA game before.

Would be a major pickup for the Cavs. Leave the X's and O's aside for a second and realize that Izzo is a bull dog coach who commands respect from his players.

He is not only tough but also loved. It is a RARE character trait.

But not only that, this guy is NAILS when the games are on the line. He is a junk yard dog and doesnt back down. He has taken some very unremarkable Michigan State teams to astonishing heights.

I mean these last two squads he took to the Final Four, I mean they didnt have any meaningful NBA talent.

Gonna wait on official confirmation...but this is a step in the right direction whether or not you think Izzo is the ideal coach. If this is official....it's time to focus 100% on trades.

The WFNY guys are good eggs. I believe this.

With Avery joining the Nets, it's pretty much a two-horse race between Chicago and Cleveland - though that could change if Geffen pries majority ownership of the Clippers away from Sterling (which I don't think will happen). If LeBron is his own man, I say he stays. If he's completely under the sway of Rose and Wes, it's Chicago.
