Dream Team 4: Golden State Warriors

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Realism my friend, realism.
I remember a lot of people last year clinging to the realist title as why we wouldn't beat the Warriors.

Look I know it's a different team, but let's not act like they weren't dismantling teams last year as well. They were. And there were a lot of realist posts about how we couldn't beat them.

I'm not even thinking about last year.

I'm thinking of this year and Kevin Durant playing better than the 2 time MVP. We've never seen KD even play defense the way he is at the moment. Matter fact KD is 3rd on the MVP list.

I'm just not going into the fight expecting LeBron to win. I won't be upset over a loss. More like nice try get them next year kind of thing.

They make a ton of tough unguardable shots right now, I don't see how it changes come finals.

Maybe we get lucky with Draymond losing his mind again.

Because Curry and Durant do not make those shots in the pressure-cooker environment of the playoffs. It's tried and true.

I'm not making bold claims about the Finals that are 5 months away, but they're a different team in the postseason...as are we.

Possibly, but with KD joining takes pressure off everyone. If they continue to choke shots in the finals it'll be the funniest thing ever.

I'm on the latter side though.

I think you could actually argue that with the addition comes KD comes more pressure. That team simply HAS to win or they're a colossal failure.

In a charged, do-or-die Finals atmosphere up against adversity in the form of the best player on the planet, what iterations of Curry and Durant are you going to bet show up? The guys who play loose and free in the regular season or the chokers who just blew consecutive 3-1 leads?

Yeah, unfortunately I agree the pressure was Curry and Durant on their respective teams thinking they have to be THE GUY to take that shot. And now that they have 2 who can literally make it from anywhere, it's a lot easier. I mean, let's give credit to Curry in that he's a supreme finisher around the basket. Probably as good as he is from outside the 3 point line. I still do think his experience from last year with LeBron will ultimately dismantle him mentally in a close game, but I think Durant is going to be different. We're talking about a guy who left an elite team to go to a team with the best single season win/loss record in basketball history. If anyone has something to lose this playoffs, it's him. We're either going to see the best or worst KD you've ever experienced come May/June.

Has anyone watch the actual video of this? It certainly looks like Zaza punches down on Westbrook after the collision.

Was more like a catfight scratch. What I'm a little mad about is that two games in a row, Golden State has gotten away with a flagrant followed by a taunt. These dudes are punk ass bitches and I would love to see them in an all out brawl with another team. I think the Bucks or Celtics would be the perfect candidates to start a huge fight, because you can't let them act up the way they have and not feel repercussions from other teams in the league.

If he's gonna retaliate I would prefer he focuses on Curry's ankles or Durant's foot. Not that I wish injury upon someone, but if you're gonna try to get someone back, at least go after a top player, not just an All Star! LOL

Well then leave it to me.

I absolutely wish injuries on their entire big four. They all deserve it.

Hopefully the league hears Westbrook's promise/threat, and takes notice of what GS is doing. Maybe they frear that players will retaliate more and more if they don't put a stop to this.

I've never seen a bigger gathering of punchable faces. I'd be pretty pissed at my teammates if I was Russ. You don't let a man stare down your teammate while he's on the ground like that.

Russ shouldn't have said that though. The refs will be looking for it now.

Zaza with the cowardly wave-off of the ref after he turns his back.

Can't stand these pussies.

I don't know what's more annoying: KD's celebrations when he makes a totally wide open three or uncontested dunk...or Draymond's donkey-looking face when he breaks some rule (illegal defense, kick to a groin, uncalled blocking fouls, etc).
