Dream Team 4: Golden State Warriors

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
They're your champions. A team that stacked isn't losing.

Rare that you see a team that good where one of their guys could ride a motorcycle face first into a brick wall at 100 MPH and they'd still be favorites to come out of the conference and win the title.

I don't think GS can be defeated 4 times in a series this season. They're playing out of their minds, even their so called depleted bench is killing it.

Exactly what the so called 'experts' said last season, especially in the Finals. Look how that turned out.

Much like the season before that, it took a series of unfortunate events for the champs to become the champs. I don't know if we would have won if Draymond wasn't suspended and Bogut didn't go down. But alike, I don't know if the Warriors would have won the season before if either of Love or Kyrie were healthy... I mean, we went into overtime game 1 with a hobbled Kyrie who went down late in the game.

It's just going to be really hard to beat that Warriors team. I do think we have a chance to beat them, but 4 of their starters are top 25 players and I'd say most of them could play 42 minutes a game in the finals if they had to. The big question is will Curry and Durant suck at life at the same time in the playoffs?

Last season is incomparable, Durant is a game changer.

LeBron knows this and is wanting outside help.

Love has to be the best Love of all time. This may be the series that makes or breaks him in a Cav uniform.

I know. I wish people would stop referring to last season. They added the second best player in the NBA.

Took stars aligning to beat them pre Durant.

Come on.

True. Though, that statement is more applicable to Golden State. Last year we benefited mainly in the Finals. Meanwhile, the 2015 Warriors on the road to their ring, went up against teams that all had injuries to their key players. Get this, from the first round all the way up to the NBA finals!

I understand your vantage point. Adding Durant, the second best player in the NBA to a 73 win team narrative. I will concede that Durant makes them tougher to guard and it certainly doesn't hurt to have more help.

However, my point is, as long as we have Lebron, Kyrie and the crew, much like last season, we have a shot. How big that shot is for this go round? That would be up for debate. The gentleman who I replied to, was thinking that Golden State couldn't lose 4 times in a series. Essentially, giving the rest of the league, including us, zero chance. And I wholly disagree.

So tonight is like when everyone crowned the Warriors after OKC choked against them and Curry hit the half court game winner.

Ok.

Handing them the champions tag is ridiculous, I agree.

But they are massive favourites and it would take monumental effort from us to repeat!

For us, to beat them again, not only do we need LeBron and Kyrie to outplay Durant and Curry, which imo is something that is quite realistic, but also need Love to outplay Draymond or JR/Korver/Shump to outplay Klay. THAT is something I am not at all confident about.

Also, it will more difficult than last year. While our offense has got better, our defense has got worse. Similarly, Warriors' offense just got miles better as they replaced Barnes with arguably one of the best scorers ever. So, do we employ the same defensive scheme as we did last time? Because if its KD who takes those shots instead of Barnes, and he makes even 5% more of those shots, they become Champions.

LeBron isn't a moron. The man is one of the greatest basketball minds ever. While his method wasn't right, his point was absolutely spot on.
