Dream Team 4: Golden State Warriors

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I can't even describe how much it fuckin annoys me that these are the kind of articles that Chris Haynes writes.

You just know this guy's dream was to work for TMZ but fell into sportswriting instead.

Not to mention quotes from Matt Barnes and Draymond Green directly contradict the premise of the article.

Man... Fuck the Warriors. This isn't the type of shit that is said by a team striving to become the champions.

I liked KD's answer & I thought Mike Brown had a very Mike Brown answer.

I personally enjoy Salt Lake. Its beautiful, clean, lots of out door activities, and you feel safe walking at all hours.

And if you read the article, it wasn't said at all without being clearly instigated by the writer's questions. This is ESPN going full clickbait. In fact, I've seen the article on clickbait sources since.

Barnes:
"the main focus is winning games. Me personally, I want to get out there because I want to beat the Clippers"

Dray:
"It's the playoff," he said. "Nobody worried about nightlife during the playoffs."

We all need to do ourselves a favor and not allow journalism to drop to this level.

I know this is a hugely unpopular notion around here but GSW were incredible last night. I thought Utah played pretty well in general; certainly far too well to get pummeled the way they did.

I don't believe Golden State is remotely beatable right now.

I don't think so either.. they have no weaknesses.

I did not read the article. I think I did the right thing.

Draymond Green has been incredible so far these playoffs:

Besides him guarding everyone, switching everything, and protecting the rim (leads the playoffs in blocks per game), he's doing the following

14.4/9.2/7.2/3.8 blks/1.8 stls

on 50/52/65 shooting splits.

131 ORtg, 91 DRtg, NET +40 rating

+23.9 per 100 ON court, +19.9 On-Off court

He and Curry have been by far their best players these playoffs. Durant is basically a luxury piece. Fucking coward.

Oh but they do.. If Utah could score to save their lifes GSW could very well have lost the Game.. If GSW has a few night on offense like last Game they will lose against SA,HOU or us.

They still have no real alternative to their Playstyle. I mean dont get me wrong they have mastered it. But they still are very much a one trick pony on offense and so are their Stars exept maybe for Green.

Steph, Klay and KD are no real thread of scoring inside. When the jumpers arent falling they are not really dangerous. They still have a great defense to keep it close and will still score some just off Mid Range Shots and the 8-10 Threes they hit even on an off night.. but they can be beaten.

Haven't you guys learned from last year? The whole year even around here it was like "GSW is unbeatable" .. the fear was unbearable.. yet we won.. and It is arguable if they truly got better. Yes they are on a good night even scarier with KD but they lost a good Post Defender and guy who knew his role in Barnes and their Defensive Anchor in Bogut. They got better at what they already are great at but got actually worse at their weaknesses.

We know how to slow down Steph and Klay.. we did it 2 years in a row now.. We have to lure KD into playing the Hero.. make him try to beat us on his own.. and be sure he can be lured into that mindset.. he is just that way..

On the other end They lost Barnes and Iggy is a year older.. while Lebron looks even better than last year.. they will not be able to even slow him down. The Same with Kyrie.. If they try to hide Steph again just as last year force a switch every possession..

Oh and BTW Lebron and Kyrie will score at will at the Rim with Bogut gone..

You guys are just afraid.. we are healthy, we have Lebron who plays maybe better than ever and they actually have some issues to sort out(Kerrs health, KDs long term health..roles etc)

I really am ashamed for this board that the fear is back..

So what you're saying is, Curry and Draymond are due for a "regression to the mean" during the NBA Finals? Gotcha.

So what you're saying is, Curry and Draymond are due for a "regression to the mean" during the NBA Finals? Gotcha.

The thing is... nothing so far indicates the main reason they lost last years Finals has changed.. their Personalities and mindsets.. are still the Same.. everything is great as long as they can run inferior Opponents out of the Arena..

They for all we know are still the same nice weather Kids from last year.. and Coward is just the same kind of personality.. As long as they are ahead they are great... but they are not great at responding to true adversity..

They have shown no real resilliency and are winning on talent alone. And while their talent is undoubtetly very, very impressive they are not battle hardened and adversity resillient as we are.. not even close in fact.

How will they respond when they face Houston or SA who can score with them but also defend? And how will they look after Lebron and Kyrie will have dominated them early in the Series because there is no more Bogut?

To the point: Curry, Klay and even KD all have at least tainted Finals histories..
Curry and Klay each have played much below the rest of the Season 2 years in a row and while KD Scored good in 2012 he made dumb decisions and was easilly lured into trying to beat the Heat on his own..
And btw he is just as much of a choker as Steph and Klay are.. he choked away a 3-1 lead too.. thats all of them have in common.. and until proven otherwise i dont think they will be great in the Finals..

Warriors with the weirdest half time show I have ever seen...
