I'm not ignoring Dwight Howard's problems. I'm asking you how can any team defend that font line.
I'm not sure how you think Love/Howard is automatic. Howard is not an offensive juggernaut ( ).. Both he and Love are most effective in the low post.. You going to play both of them there?
I think what Howard gives us is 90% on the defensive side of the floor, in that he can clean up after we get beat off the dribble. He can alter shots. That's what Howard gives us.
Offensively, I suppose if he and Love developed some sense of working in concert in the low post, that might work, but with both of them there, you've killed your spacing for LeBron - and with Love out on the perimeter, you've killed his most important offensive tools (he's better in the low post).
I mean other teams have to defend us to you know. Like you said the Warriors would put Dwight in Pnr but are they not gonna play Bogut with Dwight and Love out there. They won last year against an unhealthy Cavs team.
Warriors 4th quarter ball with Draymond forces Howard off the floor, unless you're going to concede one of their group getting consistent open looks.
I hear you when you say they playing better this year but it's the same personnel and Curry is till not playing defense.
He's not playing defense because Walton/Kerr have decided he shouldn't, not because he can't.
Insert Kyrie and that neutralizes Curry.
Curry won't guard Irving unless he finds himself on him after a switch. Klay Thompson will be guarding Kyrie. I think the Warriors will end up doubling Kyrie and trying to trap, forcing him to play off the ball.
yes i agree that Draymond Green has gotten better and is an All Start this year but he was guarding tristan Thompson not Kevin Love. Don't give those dudes a pass for beating our second string plus Lebron.
You keep talking about last year though.
I'm asking do they even play the same with Kyrie and Love in the lineup.
I'm not referring to last year, I'm talking about the Golden State Warriors that have only lost 1 game so far this season.
They will go small, super-small. Howard has no place on the floor in that instance. They will pick-and-roll us to death, Howard sucks and the PnR; Thompson is literally elite at defending the PnR. They will play out at the perimeter, Howard doesn't have value out at the perimeter. They will swing the ball and exploit our mismatch if we play Howard. They will maximize offensive efficiency because of our decision to play someone who doesn't matchup with anyone else.
In the meantime, Howard provides what on the opposite end of the floor? Unless you think he's going to dogwalk Draymond to the hoop, which he didn't last year, then I'm not sure what his purpose is?
