Dwyane Wade: Back to Riley (#CavsLifer)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Oh ok... Well I'm not sure I need Pride starting ?
Idk that just seems like a possible reason why he'd want to start even though he's old and injury-prone. He's not the player that he used to be but maybe he's too proud to take a bench role.

If he starts our spacing in the starting line-up goes to shit compare Rose & Wade's recent 3PT% to Irving and Smith and it's night and day.

Would also make Tristan Thompson the only "plus" defender on the starting 5, that's unless Lebron decides to play defense in the regular season again.

I could see him starting with Rose until IT comes back. Rose rotates out early for JR Smith and Rose runs the second unit. Wade could ease the ball handling duties of LBJ and Rose in the short term till IT is back. Calderon gets waived or bought out, if he is on the team he never sees the floor.

He just liked a comment someone made about joining OKC on twitter...

Anyhow, I would like to get him and move JR to the 6th man. But going to OKC and replacing Roberson seems to make more sense. Would LeBron want JR to lose his gig? Of course it would mean Shump probably being dealt for a 2nd round pick too.

I don't think the pride is necessarily a bad thing.... It's sort of a necessary evil with top-flight athletes.

Also, not sure if Wade starting is necessarily a bad thing - as long as his minutes are managed. I like the spacing a little more with JR Smith, but once IT is back it won't be too bad. JR Smith is former 6th man of the year, and should work well in that role.

I'd expect a lot of Wade at the 3 LBJ at the 4 come playoffs.

Is anyone seriously saying no to Wade on this team for a lousy $2.5M who's best friends with our franchise player?

How much money will Wade get out of this buyout? I'm hoping a decent amount. If he's counting on his next team to pay big, that would put us in a tough spot.

Brooklyn Nets veteran swingman Joe Johnson is still very much in play for the defending Eastern Conference champions, league sources informed cleveland.com.

Should Johnson, 34, obtain a buyout of his $25 million salary for the season, Cleveland would be his next destination, sources with knowledge of the dialogue insist to cleveland.com.
