When Jameer drives just stay home... Letting him go off inside the 3 point line does nothing to give guys like Redick, Pietrus, Lewis a rhythm outside the arc....

We are going to have to be conscience of guarding the 3 when Dwight is out of the game. They seem to jack up more threes with him out of the game than with him in, even when he's not scoring. Luckily we shouldn't have to double Dwight too often, as long as Shaq's not in foul trouble and able to play 30 minutes a game.

No kidding... This is why I said in the game thread that Dwight in the game is actually better for our overall defense... Seems ironic, but the Magic go in straight 3 mode when he sits....

Nothing has changed. ORL shoots like this vs us we will fall, no matter what. Just have to close out on the shooters, hope Shaq can contain Howard a little, and do our best on D as a whole.

Agreed. In that situation we're going to need Andy's mobility to slow down their pick and roll. Andy on Gortat, Jamison on Rashard, LeBron on Pietrus. I'd put Mo on Redick and Delonte on Jameer if that's what they throw out there (that was the lineup that was out there when Pietrus went on fire).

Having Z out there against the Magic would destroy us... at least when Howard is not in the game. Last game Z showed he could get pretty physical with Howard for limited spurts. That's when Z will need to be used. The 8-10 minutes a game Howard plays with Shaq on the bench.

West guards Jameer-And West can definitely guard Rashard without question
Moon or Parker guards Vince
Jamsion guards-Pietrus or Barnes
Lebron on Rashard
Shaq on Dwight

That is IF the Magic are just SCORCHING hot. I think that kind of lineup has the kind of length and athleticism needed to match up with the Magic.
