ECF | Game 3 | Boston (0-2) @ Cavs (2-0) | May 21, 2017 | 8:30pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
People are funny.

Celtics get a miracle win and people are jumping ship. No one cares about streaks or records. So long as the Cavs win 16 games this offseason nothing else matters.

True. And this cavs team seems to thrive when everyone is counting them out and they face some adversity.

Maybe LeBron thought they'd go full goon if we were about to sweep them? I don't know, but now we've got to play another 48 minutes against a team that thinks hurting the other team is a viable option as retaliation for being a crap basketball team.

You get the same trophy being 12-0, 12-1, 12-2, or 12-3.

We'll be fine. Move on people.
Speaking of going 12-X, I don’t even know where we keep our Eastern Conference Champions trophies. I only see it on the night we win it and then it’s never to be seen again.

I think this Celtics team plays better without IT. I also think from the very beginning we thought Boston was going to lay down. I hope we got the message.

This King Knows.

You guys had a 20 point lead in the 3rd quarter, with two blow outs games prior to this. It's not the end of the world, you guys just got too comfortable and the snake bit that ass. The loss will keep you guys honest and take it as a tune up loss to tighten the game up with some more hustle.

No problem with not liking this loss.

Problem with "We suck" "we'll lose this series" "we'll never beat GS" "fire Lue" etc.

Ok but there is no problem with the other extreme then ?

"This'll make us better", " It's the ref's fault" etc,

Theres a segment of people who go crazy over the slightest negative comments.

That's an interesting theory, and worth thinking about.

Celtics were spying LeBron in the first half, essentially doubling him in the half court. LeBron became a little too comfortable dancing around with the ball then dishing to the help man. The biggest problem I saw was the third and most of the fourth, the Cavaliers weren't at all physical outside of TT. The Celtics shot themselves into a rhythm while Cleveland was going through the motions, then when the Cavs needed to close out, they were facing a hot three point shooting team who saved their time outs for quality set plays.

Exactly. Just have to learn from this L and go into game 4 with the hunger.

LBJ must have had his mind on his money because it wasn't on the game tonight. Need attacking Lebron back.
4/13 FG, 0/4 3PT, 3/6 FT, 6 reb, 6 ast, 6 turnovers in 45 minutes.

Not even mad. That's impressive.

People keep ignoring the fact that playing LeBron the majority of the mins the first 3 Qrts is a dangerous strategy.. Especially this late in the season.

You know why LeBron pulled a Harden or John Wall? His legs were jello. You can't do that when you're playing every other game this late in the season at his age. One of these games its just not going to work. It backfired on Lue tremendously. He better have learned this for the finals.

Save me the he had all this rest. That shit doesn't matter the day of. He's still 32 years old with 50,000 mins in his career.

Kyrie and Love had it rolling. There was no need to play LeBron such heavy mins. Just a day off till Tuesday.

Those aren't great takes, but more reasonable than the extreme negative ones. I have a hard seeing how negative you can be on this team after last year.

We played pretty shitty in the first half too, but that can be masked when you are white hot from the 3 point line.

Lue should take a ton of heat for this. You can't let your team fall into the trappiest trap of all trap games in the history of the world. LeBron should be able to have a shit game and you still beat a walking dead dead team at home.

We were sloppy with the ball, lazy on the glass and defensively and stagnant on offense. Those were all of the hallmarks of our regular season suckiness. You have to recognize that even when you are holding a lead and correct it.

This was a shocking, inexcusable outcome. But time will tell if it holds any consequence beyond less rest and pissed off fans.
