By spread, I mean the pick I would actually lose because of the keeper versus where they would potentially be drafted if they were available. It's a 12 team league with 13 players per - so fairly deep.
For example, if I keep Sanders, I lose my 13th round pick. Who cares, right? If he was available, he may go in the 5th round (just guessing). That spread is 8 rounds - 8 rounds of value on that keeper. I lose a 5th if I keep Wall. If he were to go in the 2nd round, there may not be as much value.
Probably all moot as it seems Jigo locked in our keepers leading up to tomorrow night's draft.
I'm not sure I agree with you there. Fantasy basketball is very much a game of star power, and having effectively two second-round picks (Wall and whoever you pick with your actual second-rounder) is much more valuable than having two fifth round picks (say Sanders and your actual pick). Wall, if healthy, is going to put up superstar numbers in points and assists, and he will also rebound well, shoot at a solid percentage (for a PG), and get to the free throw line. Are you going to pick a guy in the fifth round who is anywhere near as valuable as Wall will be this season? Doubtful.
For what it's worth, I would take Wall and Sanders. I think those two give you the best value for picks lost.
