FANTASY FOOTBALL 2017

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd do another dynasty league. I think they're a lot more fun than redraft because they run all year.

I may be down. That would be my 4th league that I am constantly in (2 w/diff. friends and RBF) but let's see the interest from everyone on here. I would maybe post in the actual RBF/RCF fantasy football league thread.

EDIT: Nevermind. I see Jack already started a new thread.

What is everyone strategy regarding kickers and defenses? You stream line that shit or what? Draft elite ones?

I draft one of the "upper tier" kickers, but late. Justin Tucker won me a couple of head-to-head's last year… I tend to stream defenses.

Depends how well the draft falls upon me and what selection I have.

If I already have great handcuff RB's and some depth at WR, I may end up drafting a DEF ~11-13th (highest ranked DEF + SOS used). Kickers are fucking excellent. But I feel at least over half of the kickers can get you ~10pts/gm. who are on the high powered offenses, so I tend to wait until last or 2nd to last.

Won't touch a defense until the 15th.

Last year I took Gostkowski in the 10th though. He was the #1 kicker for like the last 5 straight years before last year. I don't think that type of impact can be undersold. You always have the advantage at that position guarunteed.

Of course he wasn't as great last year though.

Kicker and defense are almost always my last two picks in re-draft.

So, what's the recipe for success in a 12 team league? I was thinking about going 3 RB 3 WR in some order with my 1st 6 picks before I even think about a QB and TE.

Last year I went WR heavy 3 out 4 picks and it got me in 5th place, I also lost Keenan which was why. I learned it's not good to take suspended and injury prone players. Josh Gordon and Tom Brady did no good for me. While I was in my hole, I missed the playoffs by one game. A guy that took Bell last year also didn't make it, just one late surge.

Is it smart to go RB heavy or WR heavy?

Who are TEs to look out for ranked in the 7-12 range?

This will also be my 2nd year in the free agent budget, how do you guys like to spend your budget, or save it until the end?

Graham, Bennett, Ertz, Howard..those types

Depends on so much shit. Keeper league? What draft slot? I am the person who makes his own ranking list and tries to follow it. I see how the draft is playing out (everyone gonna go RB heavy this year? I will try and snag RB with first 2 picks. especially if there is a possibility of grabbing 2 workhorses.) WR is deeeeeeep this year. I wouldn't wait until the 4th to start drafting, but you can get away with going RB/RB.

before I even think about a QB and TE.

TE I generally wait until ~7-9, depending on if someone like Gronk/Kelce fall to the 4th. Or if Reed/Olsen fall to the 6th. QB I ALWAYS wait, but that is just me. Rodgers definitely helped a shit ton of teams last year. But I personally would rather snag another higher-end WR in the 3rd than my QB.
