FANTASY FOOTBALL 2017

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You can't tell me that line is bad when Cook and McKinnon are very successful.

They are bad.

Better than their line the last few years, good in pass pro, but still awful on obvious run downs and run blocking in general.

Lat is falling victim to what the offense as a whole the previous few years fell victim to with Adrian...whenever he is in, it is an obvious run, so teams stack the box. For some reason they aren't using him on passing downs, even though he is widely considered to be one of the better pass pro RBs in the league and a fairly capable pass catching back, so there is nothing unpredictable about the plays he is in.

Cook and McKinnon have been used way differently than Lat, and as a result isn't allowing defenses to key in on obvious pass or obvious run, which is where their success has come from...not from the line play.

But when the Vikings come out in an obvious run situation, almost always it goes for 3 yards or less, and Lat is the back in for those situations.

I'm a bit more focused on the leagues I pay to be a part of than the free ones I participate in. Having my first overall pick and my fifth rounder (I think) get hurt in week one certainly didn't help to motivate me in a redraft league.

It's the same with the RCF dynasty league. In my paid dynasty league, I've made like a dozen trades in the past six months to improve my team. I don't spend much time searching out trades in the free RCF dynasty league. It's less because I don't care and more because I only have so much time and free leagues inevitably are not prioritized, especially a free league like the RCF Standard where I lost two high picks and there are no keepers. Like, what's the point?

In some money leagues you can't make trades.

You do have $0 in FAAB so you can't say you didn't try to add players.

I get that people prioritize their money leagues over free ones.

It not like even if you or others in the league tried harder the outcome would have changed much.

See if any of the top 5 highest scorers are also in the top 5 highest for targets and let me know who they are.

And Cooper is the ultimate lottery ticket right now for buy low WR trades I think. 14th best WR in 0.5 PPR scoring last season, so the talent, volume, and chance to breakout is there.
Top 5 in targets are Robby Anderson, Ricardo Louis, Marquise Goodwin, Cooper Kupp, Jermaine Kearse

Top scorers Kearse, Nelson, Kupp, Anderson, Ginn

So Kearse, Anderson, and Kupp. Not sure how I feel about em.

Yikes. Kearse would be my pick out of that group, but that is a picked over group.

I'd explore a buy low over wasting a roster spot on one of those guys. Pryor, Cooper, Jeffery, maybe someone hurt like DeVante Parker or Emmanuel Sanders.

But you can't sell high on Fuller...you don't have the WRs for that right now.

I think Lat just fucking sucks.

Ehhh. I think the play calls haven't helped him much, and Shurmur admitted as much this week.

But the Vikings having a good line, as far as run blocking goes, is not true. Getting better, but not good.

It's probably an average line, which is saying a lot because last year it was truly awful. Would that be fair to say in your mind?

Who would you suggest for Cooper then?

Yeah, but average because their pass blocking has improved ten fold to almost an elite level in the league (Riley Reiff has been an incredible signing to this point), but their run blocking still leaves a lot to be desired...which is expected when 2 of your 3 interior lineman are a rookie and an undrafted guy who had never played his position before this season. But yeah...way, way, way better than last season. Still need to get better though.

Also, Shurmur's play-calling has been a breath of fresh air, after watching Norv and his 20 years outdated offense. Team has no business being top 10 in yards per game with a backup QB in and starting RB down.

I'd start with Rishard Matthews or Agholor.

Cooper isn't worth Demarco Murray right now, unless you are getting another decent RB back with him.
Got it thanks. Am I trying with Demarco if I go for the others you mentioned?

If you try with Demarco, I'd go for a guy who has been better than Cooper to this point. You can't lose an RB like that without getting back something already pretty good. He's the one I'd dangle for Jeffrey or Parker or Sanders. You could also target a team that is awful at RB but deep at WR if need be...there has to be a team like that in your league.

And I'll remember this one day, but your league is 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 flex right?

One of my pay leagues is dynasty, so not allowing trades would be stupid and ridiculous. I spend the most time on that league, as it's worth the most money and the large rosters make structuring acceptable trades easier.

And I never said that I didn't try to add players. However, I didn't spend a lot of time on it. Didn't even notice Peterson was on the waiver wire, for example. I'm in about seven different leagues this year, so I'm obviously not going to prioritize the redraft league where my number one overall pick got hurt in week one along with one of my best receivers. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to focus on that one when I have several other leagues where injuries didn't fuck me.

Correct. Dude with Amari turned down Rishard and Agholor. He also has Sanders so he's a tad reluctant to trade receivers right now. Also mentioned he has the most upside so he knows that. And yes to the positions for my league. The guy that has Jeffrey is looking for a receiver himself (asked him before you mentioned him) and the guy with Parker is the one that also has Doug Baldwin and called Demarco crap. Think if I could get Thielen it would be worth it?
