I figured I could start a thread where we can post your league type, amount of teams, and your players and receive feedback from other members.

I'll start it off:

I'm in a 12-Team Standard Head-to-Head league and I picked 7th in the draft. We play with QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, K, DEF, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN.

(Bolded players are my projected starters)

Round Player Position
1. Drew Brees QB
2. DeSean Jackson WR
3. Brandon Marshall WR
4. Jonathan Stewart RB
5. Matt Forte RB
6. Jermichael Finley TE
7. T.J. Houshmandzadeh WR
8. Kevin Kolb QB
9. Lee Evans WR
10. Arian Foster RB (Keeper)
11. Pittsburgh DEF
12. Visanthe Shiancoe TE
13. Garrett Hartley K
14. Jacoby Jones WR
15. Sam Bradford QB

Overall, at pick 7 out of 12 I don't think my draft was too bad.

I know I reached on some players (Jackson, Jonathon Stewart, Matt Forte) and probably should have tried to go RB before I chose Jackson but I just didn't feel like there was anything that appealing in the draft once my 2nd pick came around...I think the key to my season is Forte and Houshamazilly getting back on track this year.

Reached a bit on DeSean but can't really fault you because I'm a big fan of him.

Fantasy is tough this year, incredibly deep at WR and incredibly thin at RB. My philosophy has always been RB first 2 rounds but I can't do it this year. Not wasting my 2nd round pick on Shonn Greene when Calvin Johnson is there.

Not a huge fan of DeSean being picked #2 mainly because he is a hit or miss guy. He mainly relies on his big plays, because he rarely gets anything in the redzone. Plus with Vick or Kolb throwing to him, who knows how good he will be this year. You seem thin at RB but should still be a decent team considering it is a 12 team draft, so there shouldn't be any stacked teams.

This is my first time really doing fantasy football, it was 25 bucks a person and I really have no clue how I did. I think the scoring is just pretty standard, except it's a point per reception league. I picked 2nd. Thoughts?

1. Ray Rice
2. Brandon Marshall
3. Miles Austin
4. Jonathan Stewart
5. Tony Gonzalez
6. Eli Manning
7. Percy Harvin
8. Steve Slaton
9. Steve Breaston
10. Arian Foster
11. Matthew Stafford
12. Matt Prater
13. Malcolm Floyd
14. Dustin Keller
15. Browns D/ST

Not terrible, el_capitan... but you know that Percy Harvin is in the hospital right now, right? I wouldn't have taken the risk on him.

I don't like the Manning, Harvin, Stafford picks or the Browns defense. I think you took Marshall way too high but I think you will be happy with him.

I was just thinking about starting a thread somewhat like this, I have my draft on Wednesday and this is the first year playing with Individual Defensive Players. I was just wondering what round I should start thinking about taking one; it's the pretty standard scoring system (4pts passing TD, 6 pts rushing td etc...) Any help would be appreciated; there's just too much of an information overload when you type that into Google.

Yeah, I know he's had the migraines and everything, but I'm assuming he will end up fine. Plus he has the return threat on top of being a receiver.

I went with Marshall because it's a point per reception league, and he is always near the top with receptions. It was my first time, maybe I'm over thinking it to much. After Manning, the next best QBs were Matt Ryan and Jay Cutler, so I figured he was better than both of them. And the next QB to go after Stafford was Cassell, but looking back I probably could have got him a round or two later. I just went for the Browns D/ST because I wanted something Browns on my team, plus I'm hoping our defense can get a decent amount of takeaways this season. Plus there is always the Cribbs threat. Oh well, I guess I know for next year.

I had my draft today:

QB: Phillip Rivers
RB: Michael Turner
RB: Ryan Matthews
RB/WR: Jahvid Best
WR: Sidney Rice
WR: Wes Welker
TE: Jermichael Finley
K: Stephen Gostowski
D: Pittsburgh

Bench:
QB: Jay Cutler
WR: Malcom Floyd
WR: Devin Aromashodu
WR: Darrius Heyward-Bey
RB: Willis McGahee
RB: Tashard Choice
TE: Dustin Keller

I'm not happy with the quality if my RB depth, but I like my team overall.

I did 2 drafts. My first draft I grabbed the 7th pick. The 2nd draft I got the 1st pick. Each league is a 10 team league that starts QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, Def, K and the othe r league there is a flex position. So here is my first draft which I drafted 7th.

QB - Rivers
WR - Austin
WR - Marshall
WR - Sims Walker
RB - Gore
RB - Jamaal Charles
TE - Brent Celek
K - Rian Lindell
DEF - Giants
BN - Moreno
BN - Johnny Knox
BN - Robert Meachem
BN - Justin Forsett
BN - Jay Cutler
BN - Harrison

Team 2 (#1 pick)

QB - Rivers
WR - Fitzgerald
WR - Sims Walker
WR - Mike Wallace
RB - Chris Johnson
RB - Ryan Grant
TE - Jason Whitten
W / R - Jonathan Stewart
K - Phil Dawson
Def - Green Bay
BN - Ahmad bradshaw
BN - Ricky Williams
BN - Steve Slaton
BN - Lee Evans
BN Jacoby Jones
BN - Tim Hightower

I definately like the 2nd team a whole lot better but both will do just fine I believe. I tried to grab Rothlesburger in the last round but was gone. Kinda upset about that but oh well. I might have reached on Fitz taking him with my 2nd pick but I didn't want to take Johnson so I dunno. Thanks for the feedback.

That looks like my drafting pattern for the past two years: Go after the young running backs aggressively, draft a solid mid-tier quarterback, and hope a "receiver by committee" approach pans out.

I hate to tell you this, but I've been locked out of the playoffs for the past two years. You are going high-risk that at least one of the running backs pull an Adrian Peterson. For me, it hasn't been working out so well lately.

1. Adrian Peterson
2. Roddy White
3. Phillip Rivers
4. Jamaal Charles
5. Brent Celek
6. Jeremy Maclin
7. Johnny Knox
8. Jerome Harrison
9. 49er's Defense
10. Malcolm Floyd
11. Chris Cooley
12. Donald Brown
13. Jacoby Jones
14. Vince Young
15. Sebastian Janikowski

Any thoughts?

I'm hoping Floyd does well without V. Jackson there, but it doesn't help now that Rice is out for 2 months.

I picked 7th in a 12 team PPR league:
round #( )
QB : Eli Manning (7)
RB: Pierre Thomas (2)
RB: Jonathan Stewart (4)
RB/WR: Justin Forsett (5)
WR: Andre Johnson (1)
WR: Roddy White (3)
WR/TE: Wes Welker (6)
TE: Kellen Winslow (9)
DST: Steelers (10)
K: David Beuhler (18)

Bench:
RB: Clinton Portis (8)
RB: Cadlilac Williams (11)
QB: Vince Young (12)
QB: Mark Sanchez (14)
WR: Jacoby Jones (13)
WR: Dexter McCluster (15)
TE: Tony Scheffler (16)
DST: Bears (17)

I'm pretty happy with my team.

I had the 14th pick of a 16 team league that my friends put together.

QB Tony Romo DAL
WR Calvin Johnson DET
WR Dez Bryant DAL
WR Michael Crabtree
RB Chester Taylor CHI
RB Ladainian Tomlinson NYJ
TE Dalls Clark IND
WR/TE Dustin Keller NYJ
WR/RB Devin Thomas WAS
D NYJ
K Sebastian Janikowski OAK

Bench
QB Matt Moore CAR
WR Jabar Gaffney DEN
WR Mark Clayton BAL
WR Jason Avant PHI
RB Julius Jones SEA
RB Brian Westbrook SF
TE Fred Davis WAS
D Atlanta

There were 19 rounds with 16 teams. Took about two and a half hours to complete. As for the weak RB situation, when I was picking I got cornered with either the best available RB, which was Rashard Mendenhall or to take a solid consistent receiver in Calvin Johnson. Next, had to go with a top tier QB since I would not be picking for another 26 picks and any top tier RB available was already gone. As you may noticed I took a chance on some rookies and second year players. I figured this was a league to do that in since the talent for top tier players is more spread out compared to most fantasy football leagues. Might as well take a chance and hope to get lucky with one or two.
