okay, so im in a keeper league that just started, and at the end of the year we can keep 10 out of our 18 positions. we have an interesting rule however....

normally you are only allowed to start 2 RBs, however if you if you have 2 running backs on the same team you can play up to a total of 3 RBs For example if you have the dolphins running backs in ricky williams and ronnie brown you can play both of them, as basically one slot.

so right now I have a team of..

philip rivers
adrian peterson
K. moreno
roddy white
braylon edwards
lance moore
brent celek

with back running backs of jamal lewis, julius jones, and glenn coffee

and back up WRs of steve breaston, miles austin, darius heyward bey, and jeremy maclin.

right now im being offered santana moss and chester taylor for braylon and glen coffee. honestly if braylon does what he can, i think he does and totally rapes moss, especially over the long haul of a keeper league, the problem is im weak at running back and chester taylor would basically allow me a free play of a position. so im torn, because basically chester taylor has almost no worth to anyone else in the league unless A pete goes down, but to me he is worth a lot.

any suggestions?

Interesting. My first thought was that you should definately pull the trigger for the following reasons:
- Chester Taylor could be HUGE down the stretch (fantasy playoff time) when the Vikes are probably locked in a playoff bid and resting AP.
- Braylon, although very capable of big things, will probably suffer in the Browns new system. I don't think there will be very much vertical passing, but I could be wrong. The Browns offense looks anemic, and I don't trust any of the players in fantasy.

However I also realized that
- Coffee could have the same type of season as Taylor (limited use early, big in the late season) since the 49ers might shut down Gore (always injury prone) late in the year, and Coffee was huge in the pre-season.
- Moss has never been a great fantasy player, as you mentioned.

So it's basically all about if you want to gamble and put yourself in good position for the playoffs. You would have to sacrifice some points earlier in the season (Braylon for Moss) but you also can start Taylor and Peterson at the same time, and Taylor may be a solid 3rd back/Flex play if he gets goaline carries.

I would probably do the deal. Anything you get from Moss is a bonus, especially early in the season.
