Farewell Kyle Korver

I would normally agree on this, JR is a very emotional guy and he needs confidence pumped into him like an IV.

Problem is that hes been bad for so long now, been looking like a headless chicken running around on defense and just bad offensively for around a year plus now, when do you say enough is enough and pull the plug?

Korver is a better and way smarter defender, also has a way more consistent outside shot, but still to be honest none of this really matters that way or the other we're still getting destroyed by GS with this coach and non existent offensive/defensive systems.

Yea if you bench jr you risk losing him permanently. Kyle is ok coming off the bench. Jr needs confidence. Benching is going to Mozgov him off the team.

I understand Korver is better.

Call me crazy but I think JR will be fine once the team starts playing better and win.

I don't beleive that JR is completely gone case. The heart he showed in the last three games of the NBA Finals showed me enough to suggest he still is a good player. The issue with a player like JR is, he thrives in an environment and setting where the team is well structured and organized. We have been a hot mess this season and he has looked completely out of sorts. I still see JR giving some effort but you could see his head dropping down in frustration after he misses a shot or opposition player hits a shot after he has defended well.

As for Korver, love him. We need him to play more mins even once JR starts playing well. We desperately need shooting now and Korver is our best shooter. Also, have him play more mins alongside LeBron.

All the "start Korver over JR" stuff would have been terrible. Now we have JR coming back around and Korver excelling at doing his thing. We always have needed BOTH of them to be hitting threes for us to be at our best. That's what makes unguardable. And it really helps right now without a floor spacer at PG. When IT comes back, we are really going to start exploding offensively.

I like Korver off the bench, as long as we make sure to still get him a solid 20mpg with LeBron, I don't care if he starts the game out coming in with Wade and the 2nd unit.

It's ONLY worth doing if LBJ will play the 4.

Crowder is being wasted by playing him as a 4. It's a failed experiment. Move Crowder to the 3 or move him to the bench.

Personally I see no reason to change Korvers role. He’s been excelling at it and the second unit really is helped greatly by his spacing. As long as he gets 20 mins a night with LeBron, nothing should change. IT is going to be back soonish now and there’s no reason to jerk Kyle around from the bench to starting and back to the bench.

IT/JR/BRON/Love are guaranteed starters. The Crowder/TT thing will be something we have to figure out once and for all once IT and TT are back. Maybe I’d use TT in the regular season and East just to help Kev stay healthy plus due to matchups(Washington has size, Love and TT dominate Horford every time...pistons have size, etc)

I’d maybe consider switching to Jae in the Finals, or maybe against Milwaukee even. But even then maybe it’d be better to just bring him in earlier instead of changing everything up.
