Heres the deal. My Fight Night 4 recently got 2 light scratches on it. It's not that deadly 3 ring scratch or whatever the makes the game unplayable, just normal scratches. It works, but it does freeze every once and awhile. I would test it some more but I got RROD so I cant. So I guess you can say its in decent condition.

So 20 bucks for that one, and IF it the play back for some reason doesnt work, I believe EB Games can send it to get it fixed for 10 bucks or whatever. So you still save money, or you can use the toothpaste trick or get it buffered. Ill add a pic later on so you guys can see what i mean.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is in perfect quality.

I have UFC and the center of the disk is cracked and does not work at all does anyone know if I can get this fixed. Is there somewhere I can send it in to.

If the disc is cracked, you're pretty much fucked. But most scratches can be taken care of.

Mod your 360.. download and burn a copy of the game then install the burned copy to your HD.. restore your stock firmware to avoid XBL ban, and then use hot glue or a light epoxy to cover the crack.. Any scratches can be filled in with a light coat of white toothpaste thats mostly washed off...

Shit sounds ridiculous I know, but I just repaired 3 games this way for the PS2 and 360..

When I get back I'll post some very detailed links.. in fact, video tutorials are available on youtube, lol..

But in short, it's typically an easy repair. Most of the time, all that's required is reseating the heatsink with new thermal paste (Artic would be a choice). Sometimes there's a cold solder and it can either be fixed by looking up the exact point (again reference the videos) and resoldering it quickly with a cheap Radioshack iron (25 watts will do, but I like 40) or one can simply cover the processor with aluminum foil and hot-air gunning the motherboard front and back for a good 5-7 minutes. My most recent iXtreme mod was a RROD that I bought from a kid for $60.. Fixed it in 20 minutes and modded it in 5 (using the hot-air gun trick, lol.. system will RROD again, but it's an easy repair and next time I'll bust out the iron and fix it permanently).

Btw, if you know someone selling a Xenon or Falcon based 360 that hasn't yet been updated to later firmwares (kernel should be 4XXX and definitely not in the 8XXX series), please let me know..

I bought a rrod xbox on ebay for $10.

I just needed to take it apart and re-paste the heatsink on the gpu use some new screws, washers,etc... I also had to get a new fan b/c some idiot that had it cut the wires to it. but I just used this video.

I bought another one, that has modded firmware and is banned.

but I need to find somewhere online how to start to copy games. So gourk if you can help out lemme know.

Where you download your games from ? #xbins? it's been so long..probably some irc

I'd rather flash one of my dvd burners to be able to rent and copy my own games and copy them to my xbox hard drive.

Or Gourk you can just send me some game rips you have, I can trade blu rays.

#xbins is for downloading applications related to modding and such, like 360 hd readers or firmware for jtags/modchips. You won't find any games on there.

Personally, I have 3 modems bonded in a load balancing configuration downloading over Astraweb's usenet servers.. I'm pulling in data at roughly 5-6MBytes/sec! ( ) If you don't feel like shelling out the cash for a usenet acct then you can typically find user/pass combos online or use Just4Today.net's server (it's fairly slow at 2x512kbps connections allowed).

As far as renting games, again, I'd just purchase a usenet acct through a trusted provider. Personally, I love Astraweb, and it's only $15/mo for the real unlimited package. It beats the cost of individual rentals and even a game pass from Blockbuster (if they still have those). Even over one 15mbit cable line, over 20 connections you should reliably be able to download 1500-1800 kbytes/sec which comes out to roughly one full DVD9 every hour.

And with regards to flashing your drive to be able to be PC compatible, if your 360 is already banned, then by all means go ahead. I'd run a non-stealth iXtreme patch like say 1.4 rev. 2 with speed adjustment or 1.61 NS patched. Both versions of firmware have a vendor-mode version that can be turned on simply by starting the console either with the tray half open or by send the Intro SATA command.

Lastly, if you or anyone reading this can find or knows where I can find a Xenon that hasn't been updated to NXE or at least not to the 8XXX series kernel/dash, and it's being sold for cheap -- PM me.. I'm looking to do a dual-flash mod and run XBR so that I can use XEXLoader over the network shares to load my games

using newsbin with 20 connections getting 4MBps average..very nice

there is like no games on here a.b.games.360. Had to use nzbmatrix to find a game i wanted...now i'm getting it.

Yea, don't scour the newsgroups directly unless you're looking for something that's not indexed.. But with nzbmatrix, you can find just about every 360 game worth downloading. I know, because I have them all.. LOL..

EDIT: Btw, what side of town are you on? Using Time Warner? Here in Cleveland Heights, it's pretty bad and you have little choice but to bond modems to get better than 1.5mbytes/sec downstream. Like I said before, I'm getting 5-6+ off of 4 modems. It's annoying though, because that's only not during peak hours and I'm still limited to 20 connections through Astraweb. Trying to find another service with a larger connection allowance other than the uberexpensive Giganews.
