I think something needs to be done around here quickly.

I'm not sure if Registry is still closed or not but I think it needs to so it settles down around here.

I know this has been said before but if it is possible I think there needs to be a limit on number of posts you have before you make a thread.

Some stuff I've been seeing around here lately is absolutely terrible and is making certain areas of this forum unreadable. There are many topics that are being started that are absolutely pointless or are very very similar to threads that already exist. It is becoming hard to sift through some of the bullshit.

I know that the team that this forums revolves around has taken a shit, but the quality of the forum doesn't need to as well. The difference a year has made is unbelievable.

Is there anything that the RCF Staff can do?

Recent Example:

(Thread Title--->) trade down n the draft n take Norris Cole Pg Cleveland State n Sg Jimmer Fredette BYU

(Body--->)
these two guys could completely change this franchise over the next fifteen years there 2 guards we could build around while sf Eyenga devolops Pf Hickson grows and of course we have Andy and Erden will devolop as well we could bring sessions off the bench as the two and we have a great sixth man there

Norris Cole

  • This was a members 1st or 2nd post. Obviously he needs more time to recognize the quality that we are looking for here compared to other forums.

Honestly, I thought the majority of stupid posts (not talking about pip) would stop after LeBron left. Sadly, I feel like it's gotten worse.

I'm not saying I don't make stupid posts, or have biased ideas but damn. It's like they do it just to get to us.

A thread on this forum should probably be created after this user has like 50 posts.

Their account should then be put into a moderator queue to observe whether they were spamming to get to the 50, or were making educated posts.

Just like in any company, organization, the minority shouldn't effect the majority.

Unless someone is spamming the hell out of a forum, I'd leave it up to the admins and mods control the site. They're usually pretty good at handling things.

Funny... I asked this same question a few months ago...

I agree completely. It's at the point now, in my opinion, where it's hard to even read. So many new members coming in posting every thought that comes in their head and use terrible grammar.

Almost all of these repetitive threads that are started every 3 hours contain massive run-on sentences and zero punctuation. I can't even understand what people are saying half the time, let alone try to have a organized discussion with them.

How about this for the next thread:

"LIST YOUR 5 BEST IDEAS FOR SUICIDE IF SOMEONE STARTS ANOTHER LIST OF 5 THREAD"

Now that is a thread I will post in.

I agree 100% that they usually do a great job of controlling things. However this last week leading up to today is as worse as it has ever been since I've been on this forum.

What, you mean this isn't twitter?

Set the minimum post to make a thread from 0 to something like 250.

Also, death panels for any registered members who hold dual citizenship with CavFanatic

I'm with Damage.

Further; if this thread was really necessary and it's topic really an issue, I'm very sure the mods and/or admin can handle it just fine. In other words, some might feel this thread is a waste of time. ...

Then don't waste your time in it...

Obviously there are people here that feel the same way as I do.

Isn't that the same thing you could do with bad posts instead of making this thread? Just a thought

No, comparing this thread to what is going on in this forum are not even close.
