Well the Cavaliers have now won two in a row, and Kyrie Irving dropped his first career triple-double tonight.

The Cavs came out lackadaisically, as they are wont to do after a nice win against a bad team. They weren’t closing out on the Jazz three pointers, and Utah responded by starting the game 7-10 from three. There also wasn’t much energy on offense, as the flow was pretty bad.
However, Kyrie Irving was the Kyrie Irving we know and love tonight, just like he was against the Thunder. He was playing point guard tonight, finding guys on the pick and roll and doing very, very little ball stopping. It was a joy to watch, and he finished with 12 assists. During a stretch in the 3rd quarter, he blew a close game open with seven straight points, and the Jazz were pretty clearly defeated from that point on. He only shot 7-16 from the field and I didn’t care at all. It was all in the flow of the game. He looked like he was having fun again.

After several solid months of over-dribbling into a fadeaway 19-footer, it’s been nice to have the real Kyrie Irving back. Y’know, the one who finishes at the rim, finds open teammates for easy buckets and generally is a fun basketball player to watch.

You might want to correct the part where you said that someone else came up with the nickname, "Ivory Tower." I'm pretty sure that was me, per the Tyler Zeller thread, post 1075 on March 10th, 2013, compared to Joe just coming up with it 13 hours ago. :chuckles:
