Even beyond the conference title and CFP playoff birth being at stake, this edition of the game is enormous because of what it might suggest about the previous two years. While Michigan may have won one or both of those two games without cheating, it certainly makes it more difficult to argue that knowing every offensive and defense call ahead of time with oracle like clarity had no impact on the outcome. Conversely, if Michigan wins, Ohio State will have missed a golden opportunity, and Michigan will have flipped the rivalry entirely with a combination of excellent play and cheating.
That said, there is no circumstance where all of Michigan's wins the past three seasons don't come with gigantic asterisks. Not that Michigan cares. The leadership at Michigan is a collection of fanboy bros who don't give a shit about ethical operation, and they will greatly relish the ill-gotten gains no matter how badly they had to disgrace themselves and the institution they represent.
A Michigan win would be a dark stain on the entire college football season, and provide the conference with an illegitimate champion for the third season in a row. For the good of the state of Ohio, the conference, and the sport writ large, it's time to beat these cheating assholes.
