Game 37 I Cleveland Cavaliers @ Utah Jazz I 9pm January 10th 2017

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
True, LBJ can't win there even when they have bad teams!
Irving played bad tonight and Love lately in the last few games has been awful, but what about our bench? Korver 1-5, Shumpert 1-6 and Frye 1-5.

Utah had it going from 3, at home, with the refs in their back pocket. It should be a blowout but it's not. A testiment to the greatness of LBJ.

Forgettable game. Back on track tomorrow.

They were 38% from 3. Good but not tremendous. The problem was that Love and Kyrie missed about everything they shot and Hayward made everything he put up. Score sheet says he missed twice but I didn't see it. Nothing but net all night. Cavs just don't care enough about this team to put out the effort it takes to beat them in SLC. Lather rinse repeat every year...

The Utah visitors locker room looks awful. Lockers look like they're made out of varnished plywood.

I like Utah. Very nice team.

Shame we lost, but oh well. On to the next one.

What is with LeBron in Utah? He hasn't won there since 2010. Anyways, most excited to see Korver tonight and while it was a shaky debut I can already see him hitting those shots from those crazy precision LBJ passes.

Tonight's game wasn't fun, every time Cleveland got close or LBJ went ham, they decided to not play defense. A loss in Utah in January means nothing but I want them to win in Utah, stop the pattern!

Obviously would love to win every game but next 2-5 games I will not be too focused in on. Things always get a little weird for everyone right after a midseason trade. Rotations to tweak. Helping a new guy fit in, on and off the court. Key time periods to me are how things look in about 6-10 games from now. After some road AND home games have been played, a few practices have been held, and familiarity begins to develop.

If we make another move, the whole process happens again(which is fine)

When JR comes back, it happens again, just to a lesser degree.

Griff is not one to just stay still for a entire season though, so these sorts of speedbumps and mini "seasons within a season" are going to be commonplace for the Cavs.

Does anyone think Lebron, Love and Kyrie will be rested for tonights game in Portland?

Cavs Landed in Portland at 5:15am EST . Portland stayed the night in Seattle and will fly/bus in the morning to Portland.

Well last Cav to debut in Utah was Luol Deng. We won but our season ended terribly.

That was before Gobert was a full time starter.

Now we debut Korver and a new rotation against one of the best defenses in the league on the road and Kyrie/Love struggle and we lose. I have a feeling we're gonna end up on a better note.

Well, thank the good Lord that Utah has no chance in hell of making it to the finals. They do seem to have the Cavs number, don't they?

So it basically took a superhuman Gordon Hayward effort to beat us?
I can live with that.

We can obviously learn from this.. really excited with Korver, and hope Lue allows him to play more with starters, imo, with bench mob, he wont get as many open looks.

He may be an ok help defender, good passer, and all.. but besides seeing him run funny, I don't see what else I can enjoy from him watching him play with the second unit. Why don't they switch Liggins with Korver? With Kyrie and Love, they don't really share the ball as much as Bron, so why not have a defensive minded player playing along side them, and have Korver start?

food for thought..
