Welp, by this scientific proven logic, I guess this means our bench is better than their bench by a count of 5 to 2. This may be the most important stat of the whole freaking writeup, and I felt I was being really generous in giving them Amir over JJ (thats a toss-up. How long has Amir Johnson been getting by on potential. Enough already)​

Break it down Rich...

The Cavs enter this game winners of a franchise record 12 straight. They need to continue their winning ways if they are going to stay ahead of the Lakers in the race for the #1 overall seed in the playoffs and home court advantage throughout. At this point in time, there really is no night off or disposable game, even though we lead both Orlando and Boston by 5 and 5 1/2 games.

The Pistons on the other hand, are fast heading for the 8th seed and a first round matchup with the Cavs, or missing the playoffs altogether. Their home win over Philadelphia Sunday evening, kept them one game ahead of Chicago for the 7th spot and a first round matchup with Orlando instead of Cleveland. However, they are also only 2 games ahead of Charlotte who is on the outside looking in as of now, and hungry to take a beating by the Cavs in the first round. With the Pistons only having 3 of their last 9 games at home for the rest of the season, they are going ot have to win some big road games if they are going to make the playoffs, and they are sure to be looking to start that trend in Cleveland.

Iverson came back Sunday night and chipped in 8 pts off the bench, it will be interesting to see how that role holds up over the next couple of weeks for a man who has never had to come of the bench before in his career/life. Rasheed Wallace did not play Sunday night, but it is expected on Piston boards that he will return Tuesday evening.​

I'm no statistician, and I dont pretend to be. With that in mind, lets continue the show.

The Piston faithful dont travel well, hell they havent even gone to any of their home games this year. However, I got word that they all got together and rented a double wide from 8 Mile and are on their way to the Land first thing Tuesday morning.​

No fancy stats here, just meat and taters. Figured I'd try my shaky hand since we didnt even have a game thread for the Mavs game until tipoff (you guys are slipping during our championship season. NO NIGHTS OFF!)

That is the king of game day threads and sets a new bar.

With the lakers loss last night to the Hawks it is vital the cavs are up for this game. Luckily the cavs are normally up for it when the pistons are the opponents. Very important not to let them sniff a chace at victory, they do have talent, even if most of it plays the same position and wants to shoot all the time.
