Game Thread | Game #28 | Cavs @ Spurs | Dec. 12, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If anyone is to get Victor Wembanyama, I hope Pops gets him. Would love to see what he would do with him. and I bet free agents would flock to them and he get to finals with in like 3 years

Yeah maybe they can turn it around quick if they get him. Not a bad core to add him to.

I walked into the arena and I saw that 2007 Championship banner and I said NO WAY JOSE, NOT TONIGHT !!

The Spurs are the worst in the NBA defending the 3 so this will be a good team for Love and Mitchell to return to play against.

We'll need them against Dallas Wednesday.

Any road win is a good win.

Hopefully we come in and take the Spurs out of the game early and don’t let up.

No reason to lose this one.

Isaac okoro will test this theory to breaking point

Is Keldon Johnson someone they could target to trade for? Does he play the 3?

I'm rooting for the Spurs not to get him. They had their dynasty big man. Let someone else who hasn't had luck get him.

So if they play, that would leave only Rubio, Windler, and Wade sidelined. Rubio and Windler haven't suited up all season. So this might be the fullest roster we've thrown out since opening night?
Pretty sure this group all played together including Wade.

He's on a rookie deal and young. What's in it for the Spurs to move him?

I do believe Dougie McBuckets and Josh Richardson are on the block when it's tank time. I'd like either one.

McDermott is in the 82nd percentile among forwards in points per shot attempt at 124.3 points per 100 shots. Johnson and Richardson are at 105 points. McDermott also has a higher assists per usage ratio than the other two.

McDermott is in the 87th percentile in eFG% and in the 87th percentile in 3-point shooting (42.9%). McDermott is hitting 57% of his corner 3's which puts him in the 98th percentile. He's average at offensive and defensive rebounding. I don't think there's any question he would give the offense a boost.

McDermott is 30 years old and on his sixth team in nine seasons so I assume he's awful defensively. I don't know if he would improve the Cavaliers if he took Wade's minutes or Cedi's minutes at small forward. He's making $13.75 million this year and next. The problem is we have nothing that a rebuilding team like San Antonio would want except to be rid of McDermott's salary next year. But they have tons of cap room so that's not any kind of a motivator to make a deal.

Cavs are 37-8 when Allen gets a double-double. What will he get tonight? I say 19-14
