Game Thread | Game #33 | Bucks @ Cavs | Dec. 21, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Winning by just 8 at home despite forcing 23 turnovers isnt any kind of statement win. It’s “hey at least we finally managed to beat them.” but that’s about it
Do you know who we just played? You really thought they they were gonna just roll over and die? They tried to claw their way back, they are the Bucks (that's what they do).

We woke them from the dead. They started their win streak against us on a terrible night. That's all it takes, i guess.
Sometimes an ugly win is all it takes for it to click or get out of a funk, we had the same thing vs the Mav scrubs. Not to mention we stopped our chocking losing streak ways against an undermanned hornets team that went to OT

You know, I'm not sure that the Bucks have as long of a shelf life as people seem to think. Giannis will be MVP-level for the foreseeable future, but the rest of the core is much older than he is and they're pretty tapped out on assets.

Giannis is 28, but:
  • Middleton is 31 and has been really banged up in the last year
  • Jrue is 32 and has also missed a bunch of time with injuries in the last 2 seasons
  • Brook is having maybe the best year of his career but is 34 and had major back surgery in the last year.
There may be a point shortly where Giannis has to be superhuman to keep the Bucks near the top.
The East belongs to Boston and Cleveland for the foreseeable future! Nets, Bucks, and Heat are aging! There are other young teams in the East but not as all around talented as the Cavs.

We think that's a Bucks troll. Best not to feed him.

I'm still looking for the 'big punch'

Cavs win this bitch by 20 if there wasn't a ref take over

Agree. Forcing Mobley to the sidelines over foul trouble is what kept this game from being a blowout.
Even with the struggle from Mitchell in the first half.
Even with the bullshit JB was doing at the end (LeVert over Okoro, with the way Okoro was playing Jrue and Jevon??)
Great minutes from the bench, Giannis was trying to KILL. They wasted little time trying the perimeter game when it got tight (to the Cavs' credit they were closing out pretty fast most of the time).

I don’t understand why the Knickerbockers are suddenly GOOD.
I’m not sure they are. I think they’re pretty middle of the pack; they sure have been streaky though. A few weeks ago there was chatter that Thibs might be on the hot seat, too…and then they reeled off a bunch of wins. Brunson has surely been a great addition (today, they wound up losing a 2nd round pick in 2025 due to tampering … big deal), but really inexcusable for Dallas not to have re-signed him or at least received something in return. I suppose it helps when your dad works for the team..lol

I have questions. Why the fu@k does 0k0r0 insist on ruining every group shot with the same pose? Why is a sick Steven’s in the locker room? And is Windler still on the team? I see his grinning face in back row. And tell me what kind of athlete sits like this? zoom in on back right side. Finally, is Cedi really that much taller than Mitchell?

Stevens isn’t sick but has been out due to knee soreness

@Peacedog if you think a challenge is simply about the math, then I can't really help you . However I'll explain my point. When you are up 22 early in the game, challenging and winning has little to no impact on the out come.

When the game is in the 4th and the team is on a run, and a play comes up that you can challenge and win, it not only changes the score, it can be a momentum killer. Or it's just the type of reverseal that can get the team going . There is a lot more nuance to it them simply math.

Allen offered next to no resistance. And in a playoff series, he’ll wear down quickly.

And don’t see these Cavs ever taking a leap. Terrible coach first and foremost. But with Garland/Mitchell pounding the air out of the ball, Garland wont ever develop. They’ll win 50 games and seemingly make the second round but the East belongs to the Bucks until Giannis retires.
Who let the troll in?
