Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm not sure why you came asking for people's opinions about your draft if you're going to bitch after you get them. You should have said, "rate my draft, but only if you give it an A. Otherwise I'm going to be a whiny little cunt."

By the way, I agree with Jigo.

Calm down. I was being half serious.

And by the way, I really don't give a shit.

12 team league, had the 5th pick (PPR league) Highlights: Someone took Matt Ryan in round 1 (same guy also drafted Michael Leshoure, & Mike Sims Walker in round 7).

1. Ray Rice
2. Larry Fitzgerald
3. Stephen Jackson
4. Matt Shaub
5. Dez Bryant
6. Daniel Thomas
7. Beanie Wells
8. Steve Smith (Carolina)
9. Tony Gonzalez (huge run on TE's in round 3-5)
10. AJ Green
11. Saints D
12. James Starks
13. Greg Olsen
14. Ryan Fitzpatrick
15. Greg Little
16. Alex Henery

I personally go RB heavy (especially if i were picking at 5.) Theres 32 starting RB's in the league and the teirs drop pretty fast. So getting good RB's early (especially with a possible RB flex player) is a must, unless you somehow get lucky on the waiver wire. I would honestly grade this draft a C+. WR's are pretty good, but that is you're only strong point. Schaub is a Tier 2 QB and most likely shouldn't have been picked at 4. He is inconsistent and for God sakes Jacoby Jones is his #2. Sam Bradford later would have been a better pickup. He has Josh McDaniels as his coordinator, the same guy that made Kyle Orton look like a stud.

Not to toot my own horn, but I was in a 14 team league, and I think my draft easily surpasses yours:

QB- Eli Manning
RB- Jamaal Charles
RB- LeGarrette Blount
RB/WR- Daniel Thomas
WR- Hakeem Nicks
WR- Steve Johnson
TE- Jermichael Finley
DST- San Diego
K- Sebastian Janikowski

BE- Robert Meachem
BE- Roy Helu
BE- Donovan McNabb
BE- Aaron Hernandez
BE- Steve Breaston
BE- Delone Carter
BE- Donald Brown

Anyone feel free to judge my draft. Wish I wouldn't have reached so high on SD defense, but there was a run on DST and I had all my starters filled (except for kicker) so I wanted to get something decent.

Cmon, you definitely wanted to toot your own horn.
Let me say a few things. Last year, i picked up 4 players: Blount, Mike Williams, Tolbert and Hillis. Which means that there are always guys available. Unless you get two stud rb's in the first 3 rounds, rb's are a crap shoot. Maybe it was dumb of me to even post thia, but asking to grade other people's drafts is kinda stupid and pointless.

As for yours, I like it, but of course I think mine is way better. You're undervaluing Schaub way too much. If Schaub is a tier two qb, what is bradford? Anyways, you have Little rb depth, but it is a 14 team league. Don't trust Blount just yet. outside of Nicks and Stevie, i think your wr's are prettty forgetable. Eli isn't Tom Brady and if he gets hurt, uhh ohh.

Again, see how easy it is to ridicule other people's teams? :chuckles:No team is perfect. It's impossible. In the end, I got 2 great rb's a top 5 qb and 2 excellent wr's. Can't really complain too much w the results.

I completely understand. Everyone has different tactics, everyone's league is different, everyone is going to be bias towards their line of thinking. For one I have never played a PPR league so I am not going to pretend I am perfect at a PPR draft. I am just saying my strategy has always been RB heavy, and it always gets me a top 4 seed in the playoffs.

I'd say Sam Bradford this year is a tier 3 QB, I am just saying the value of picking him much later is better than picking Schaub in RD. 4. I've never been on for drafting QB's high. I would rather fill my skill position starters and then get a mediocre (with high potential) QB in a later round (i.e. I think my pick of Eli Manning in Round 7 is a steal). But again, that is my draft strategy, and it isn't yours, so obviously we are going to judge each others choices based on that.

Tony Gonzalez should not be getting drafted at all. You can grab someone like Brandon Pettigrew later in the draft. Lions threw the 3rd most passes last year so he has a great chance to put up alot better numbers than Gonzalez who just gets drafted now based on his name.

You're right to an extent. I told myself I'd seriously consider Schaub starting in round 4. I agree w the value thing of taking bradford in 7 vs Schaub in 4, but this isn't a keeper league and good wb's are much more vauable than ok qb's.

Haha I may have scewed the pooch with that pick. A ton of TE's were going, I saw him available, thought w White and Jones commanding coverage, TGonzo will be open...it was a panic pick...and a bad one. I think i made up for it witg taking Olsen in round 13, but that Gonzo pick wasn't a great pick. Haha like I said, nobody is ever perfect.

Dude....that Olsen pick was a fantastic pick. He was always a good receiver, but the Bears have a weird situation with a very good RB and an inconsistent but still very good QB. He should put up numbers this year. Maybe consider trading Gonzalez to a fanboy.

Olsen was traded to Carolina and should be Newton's safety blanket for the entire season. As for trading Gonzo, I may have to pair him up with someone to grab another WR. If Smith gets hurt, I'm relying on 2 rookie WR's.

I like your draft expect for the Thomas and Gonzalez picks. I don't understand the love for Thomas. He's not good and neither is that offense. And Gonzalez is barely draftable in a a 12 team league. I would rather role the dice with Jimmy Graham, Rob Gronkowski or Tony Moeaki.

If Bryant breaks out and Smith comes back, you could be in the top three. If those two don't do well and Jackson gets hurt you could be in rough shape.

Shifting gears a bit cause this thread is active, I did a draft day trade (directly after our draft). Thoughts and opinions, although I think I'll take some heat:

I sent out: Drew Brees and Vincent Jackson

Received: Mike Vick and Anquan Boldin

Try to convince me I fudged up...

Teams started to figure out Mike Vick towards the end of last season, but a running QB will always have the potential to add extra points onto your total. Be sure you have a solid backup for the lights out hit he will assuredly take in the fourth or fifth game of the season.

Mike Vick benefits from the supposed prolific defense that Philly has put together. If he can stay in the pocket he has a shot of being a top 5 quarter back.

However, Drew Brees has been beasting the QB spot for a few years now. He has such deep talent at the WR position, got a speedy RB who can catch in Sproles. Brees is going to be consistent every week. Something I don't think Vick will do.

Vincent Jackson is in a contract year (he was Franchised this year) on one of the most prolific offenses in the league. From what we saw from the end of the season last year and the first preseason game this year, I project him to easily be one of the top 10 recievers in the league this year. Boldin is good, but I just don't see how V Jax is going to finish behind him in stats, given the quarterback who is throwing to him.

I think you lost in both aspects of the trade. Consistency is much better than that one or two games that a player goes off in.
