Does anyone know if Oden ever got that treatment done like Kobe and Buynum

Honestly, it's something that I've always wondered. It's supposed to help most injuries. I don't think it helps situations like Oden's, though. His legs are different lengths, causing structural deficiencies which lead to other injuries. I'm not a doctor, but I don't think the blood platelet procedure Bryant and Bynum had would help Oden.

My friend had different leg lengths. It required two surgeries in 1 years time he was fine. I think there is much more to it than that.

No disrespect to your friend, but I think there's a little more stress on the body of a 7' professional athlete. I hope, for everyone's sake, that Greg Oden can finally have the surgical success that your friend had so that he can get back to playing (hopefully, for the Cavaliers).

I am 33 as of this writing.

I had two different leg lengths. When I was 10 years old they surgically removed a chunk of my femur inserted 10 inch steel pins into the remaining bone with an apparatus to rotate the screws to extend the gap where the removed femur was, thereby allowing the bone to reheal and be longer. 3 years later, I had growth platelets removed from the other leg to keep the length differential to within one inch.

as a result of the two different leg lengths, I have a malformed hip socket which is going to require hip replacement in the next 5-10 years. Both of my knees are filled with bone spurs. I tore the ACL in the surgically repaired leg twice. I have scoliosis in my spine in 2 different spots.

I was a high school/fringe college athlete that was of normal size, and that is the result of having two different leg lengths. anyone that thinks it's a couple of quick surgeries and you're fine is full of shit.

How much of a difference does he have? Iv'e had about a half inch difference since I was 10. I'm 35 now. The only thing I have to do is wear a lift in my right shoe. I am 6'4" and am very active (Basketball, golf, etc.) Iv'e never had an issue...except one time when I forgot to switch my lift to my golf shoes and shot the worst front nine of my life...LOL.

I'm sure Grant is real cautious about Greg's health and is probably hesitant about shelling over the cash that Greg wants. Which is probably why Greg is meeting with other teams to raise his prospective value.

Agents normally talk up interest in their guys to induce teams to raise their offers. Conley dropping the probability of a signing from 80-20 to 50-50 is doing the exact opposite, and suggests to me that teams in general are not liking what they're seeing with respect to Oden's medical condition.

Interesting to know how much they offered. The thing that is worrrysone is the reports of other issues if true. I keep thinking of Chris Washburn- a guy with great talent but off the court issues tanked a potentially great career.

He is 6'9" and played basketball at a professional level in Europe

So cavs have offered and guess Oden not interested. Either wants more money and/or wants to play for a team already at the top of the NBA like Miami.

He's waiting until the summer to sign. More teams will have more money to offer. Including Miami and a MLE. He hasn't lost interest in the Cavs. He's just hoping to get us into a bidding war.
