I drafted Peyton Hillis as my RB1 in my 16-team league. Since then, I keep reading negative things about him. (CBS.com, fftoolbax, espn, etc..)

My question, what do you see as his realistic expectations for the year? Should I try to trade him now?

Panic button? :)

The nice thing about Hillis is he scores a lot of touchdowns. I think he will do well this year, but he probably won't have the same kind of yardage that he did last year. We're going to throw a lot more, but he's a great goal line option.

Don't trade. Last year, he was some guy you could pick up on the waiver wire and get so much value for someone so cheap.

This year? Unlikely he will be as explosive or surprising, but he's still a solid back for any fantasy team. Unless you have two clearly superior RBs (or however many RBs you have per team in your league), there's nothing wrong with Hillis as a 2nd back. Just don't necessarily count on him as your primary points guy like I did last year, though he didn't let me down at all.

if you have 2 running backs per team with a 16 team league, you bet your ass hillis is a top 32 running back, and thus worth of playing on your team (unless you have 2 really good RBs already). remember hillis is going to be an unquestioned started which automatically makes him probably a top 20 back.

Yeah, we start QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, Q/W/T/RB, K, DEF.

QB- Vick
WR- Brandon Marshall
WR- Santonio Holmes
WR- Jacoby Jones (pts for return yds.)
RB- Hillis
RB- Felix Jones (My sleeper pick this year)
TE- Dustin Keller
Flex- Benjarvis Green-Ellis
K- Akers
DEF- SF

Bench- Rashad Jennings, Michael Bush, Vince Young, Robert Meachem, Vince Young (for Vicks injury possibility), Evan Moore, Greg Little.

It was the first time I did a 16 team draft, it went pretty deep (THATS WHAT SHE SAID! :) )

BTW- Its a PPR, also 20 return yds = 1 point.

Vince Young is so bad you were allowed to draft him twice.

Don't expect the same production as last season. He got like 330 touches last year and you have to think (I'm hoping) Hardesty will get at least 100 touches.

Hillis' receiving numbers should decline. Colt will be more comfortable (God I hope so) throwing the ball to our Receivers.

But like Bob said, he should be top 32

Get rid of Rashad Jennings....he's on IR. Otherwise, pretty solid team.

As for Hillis....I think he easily gets close to his production from last season. Teams adjusted to Hillis in the 2nd half of the season last year, so with a slightly improved WR corps & more time under Colt's belt, I could see Hillis doin' his thang again this year. Start him with confidence.

Yea no shit, why is he still on your roster. Pick up another RB now that has potential for a surprise year and let him ride your bench to see if he can be your Flex option/injury option.
