Hubie Brown

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm just sick of the bullshit.

I don't know why I have to watch my team get beat up, have those acts rationalized, consistently officiated against, listen to simple falsehoods about those calls, shit talked about the Cavs, rooted against by the commentary, and ignored.

We had to literally set an all time record, twice, to get ANY positive mention, and it was deeply embedded in all the above.

Let me enjoy my damn team. They won't last forever, and then it's back to nothing.

Sick of it

Hubie is from Atlanta. So, he might've been secretly rooting for the Hawks. Nothing to get mad about. Hubie is great.

Anything is better than Mike "bang!" Breen and Reggie Miller.

Webber is now 4x more tolerable than Reggie.

I have always despised Mike Breen, he's a one trick pony.

mike breen makes games unbearable.

i hate him. 'bang' is really good, i have to give him credit for it. it feels like youre getting shot in the chest every time a three is drilled.

but hes pretty much tied to the warriors.

Sounds like somebody doesn't "Feel the Perm."

I liked and respected THAT Hubie - just not the partisan, cantankerous turd he's BECOME.

It goes without saying that he should not be assigned to cover the Hawks.

But is he from Boston, too? Is he from Detroit? Seems like he roots for whomever the Cavs happen to be playing.

And who cares if announcers root against the Cavs?

Shouldn't bother you. Who cares what other commentators think.

With Hubie Brown doing the game, I feel very inadequate discussing any strategy. I'll just tweet about body language @Cavs lol

But it should be noted that they don't actually root against the Cavs. It's a stupid assertion that gets made about literally every announcer.

The refs are biased, the announcers are biased, it never fails.

Hubie is great. He truly loves the game of basketball.

He talks up Lebron, he talks up Kyrie, not sure how anyone gets hating the Cavs out of him.

What he is not is a homer announcer lake many of you are used to.

What he does is talk about things like "This is an important stretch for Atlanta, the game could get away from them". That is not him rooting for Atlanta, that is him being honest.

He truly thinks Kyrie's handles are amazing, and he says stuff like Lebron should be illegal because Lebron is just too good.
I just think many on here take him the wrong way.

Hubie USED to be the best color commentator out there. The problem is he's getting up in age and it shows. He constantly mispronounces names (or just flat out calls players by the wrong name). He can not longer break down plays as they happen, instead relying on the slow motion replay. The problem is once he sees the replay, he then makes up something that happened that was clear in real time (i.e. calling Kyrie cutting off Teague on that layup an offensive foul).

Hubie used to be my guy, but I think he needs to retire.

God forbid an announcer suggest the Cavs might of got away with a foul
cause you know fouls are definitive and not subject to interpretation.

The problem is people think they have to agree with everything an announcer says for it to be good announcing.

Hubie at 82 is by far higher quality color commentary than the majority of guys on TV
